En el tiempo ajetreado de vida que estamos llevando en la actualidad, siempre hay un pequeño respiro en el que queremos encontrar paz, sobre todo en las grandes ciudades en las que habitamos. Y es por eso que agradecemos siempre poder contar con espacios para el esparcimiento, la paz y sobre todo, el descanso mental.

Me sorprendió gratamente en días pasados, en la avenida donde se encuentra ubicada la compañía de luz, fui a cancelar el recibo de la mensualidad y me encontré al frente de esta oficina, en la otra acera, uno de estos espacios lindos que invitan a un momento de descanso visual y mental.

Se trata de la Plaza Juan Manuel Cajigal, la cual lleva su nombre gracias a un personaje histórico de la localidad. Esta plaza es un espacio natural que está a orillas del Río Neverí, el cual atraviesa la capital del estado (Barcelona). Se encuentra bajo el cuidado de la Alcaldía de Barcelona y debo acotar que es un espacio hermoso lleno de plantas ornamentales y engramado muy bien cuidado y conservado.

In the busy lives we lead today, there is always a little breathing space where we want to find peace, especially in the big cities where we live. That is why we are always grateful to have spaces for recreation, peace, and above all, mental rest.

I was pleasantly surprised a few days ago when I went to pay my monthly electricity bill on the avenue where the power company is located and found one of these beautiful spaces across the street from the office, inviting me to take a moment to rest my eyes and mind.

This is Plaza Juan Manuel Cajigal, named after a historical figure from the town. This square is a natural space on the banks of the Neverí River, which runs through the state capital (Barcelona). It is maintained by the Barcelona City Council, and I must say that it is a beautiful space full of ornamental plants and well-kept and preserved lawns.

Cómo en toda plaza, hay bancas de cemento para sentarse a descansar o quizás a compartir un momento de descanso. La grama está bien cuidada y se ve verde en todo su esplendor. Las plantas ornamentales también son muy bonitas.

Hay árboles que cobijan con su sombra y, en el centro de la plaza, una fuente preciosa que se mantiene encendida dando una bonita sensación de paz y alegría a través del agua en movimiento.

Son muchos los transeúntes que vi circular a través de la plaza, más como paso de momento, que sentados a disfrutar del ambiente. Cuenta con buena vigilancia policial y personal de mantenimiento de las áreas. En líneas generales me pareció un bonito y acogedor espacio para disfrutar.

As in any plaza, there are concrete benches to sit and rest or perhaps share a moment of relaxation. The grass is well maintained and looks green in all its splendor. The ornamental plants are also very beautiful.

There are trees that provide shade, and in the center of the plaza, there is a beautiful fountain that remains on, giving a nice feeling of peace and joy through the moving water.

I saw many passersby walking through the plaza, more as a temporary stop than sitting down to enjoy the atmosphere. It has good police surveillance and maintenance staff in the areas. Overall, I found it to be a beautiful and welcoming space to enjoy.

¿Mi parte favorita? La fuente y lo verde y colorido del paseo. Me parece tan bonito y gratificante en estos tiempos, disfrutar del aire libre y de lo que nos regala la naturaleza, que me quede un ratito tomando fotografías y por supuesto, disfrutando del sonido del agua de la fuente.

Disfrutar de la vida incluye hacer una pausa en lo ajetreado del día a día, y, aun en la ciudad, aprovechar los espacios naturales, para llenarnos de energía positiva para seguir adelante. My favorite part? The fountain and the green and colorful promenade. I find it so beautiful and rewarding in these times to enjoy the outdoors and what nature has to offer that I stayed for a while taking pictures and, of course, enjoying the sound of the fountain.

Enjoying life includes taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and, even in the city, taking advantage of natural spaces to fill ourselves with positive energy to keep going.
