Wait… What? You would think that this is impossible… christmas was almost two months ago and I still have beers from my present. Well, actually it is a little bit less than two months and more important… I had a great self control and had only one beer per week for the sake of #beersaturday !
Today I opened the sixth and last beer from my christmas present - The Stochna Gara DDH NEIPA, brewed in collaboration between the bulgarian Sofia Electric Brewing and Estonian PÕHJALA brewery.
This Estonian brewery in my opinion is one of the best craft breweries in Europe and they always deliver solid craft beer gems. The label is a bit crazy… Stochna Gara is a railway that is located in the capital of Bulgaria - Sofia in one of the not-good-looking parts of the city.
I don’t know why, but the designers of the label decided to add some zebras and other animals in the train, and these other animals make “bad” deeds there… 🤷🏻 I mean it is not bad at all, but at the public transportations is not the place to do that.
I decided to light the fireplace today. It will be a good match to the winter evening and relatively lower temperatures outside. My fireplace burns biofuel and it does not require special ventilation and any sort of chimney. It is definitely a good companion if you want to enjoy some additional warmth at some times, maybe one or twice a week.
The beer itself is a perfect representative of the NEIPA style, but I think that it is a bit sad that almost all the craft beers are brewed in these “modern” styles. And I think all the craft breweries that make NEIPAs are confident and make excellent beers. I mean, everything looks perfect here… the color, the haziness, the carbonation level, the taste… The real battle between the breweries comes at the labeling and marketing now. And I am sure that there are wuite a lot beer snobs that consume all of this expensive and exquisite production. And… I am happy to be part of the ctaft beer snob world 😁
Now, when all the beers of my Christmas present are over, I will have to wait the next one to come! Just kidding… I will continue buying craft beers all the time till the upcoming Christmas. See you soon and have a noce Sunday evening!
Cheers and bye!
