Zoológico de Caricuao 🍃// Caricuao Zoo 🍃

Desde que me mudé a Caracas nunca había ido a un zoológico hasta el año pasado que visité el zoológico del Pinar, y este año por fin pude ir al zoológico de Caricuao que es el más visitado de esta ciudad. Habia oido y leído mucho sobre este zoológico ya que por mucho tiempo permaneció algo descuidado y con la pandemia del covid-19 se deterioró muchísimo más, al punto de que los monitos se salían del zoológico a robarle comida a los peatones que pasaban por ahí. Cabe destacar que los monos allí lo están en jaulas o espacios, ellos están sueltos por todo el parque.

Habíamos planeado ir y hacer un Picnic allá una vez que hubiéramos terminado todo el recorrido por el parque. Llegamos como a las 12:00 del medio día, nos estacionamos y empezamos a caminar para ver los animales; desde hace un año más o menos empezaron a hacerle mantenimiento al zoológico y ponerle amor a los animales, ahora hay un poco más de animales y están mejor cuidados y alimentados, lo mismo que sus espacios están más limpios.

Since I moved to Caracas I had never been to a zoo until last year when I visited the Pinar Zoo, and this year I was finally able to go to the Caricuao Zoo which is the most visited zoo in this city. I had heard and read a lot about this zoo because for a long time it remained somewhat neglected and with the pandemic of covid-19 it deteriorated much more, to the point that the monkeys went out of the zoo to steal food from pedestrians passing by. It should be noted that the monkeys there are not in cages or spaces, they are loose all over the park.

We had planned to go and have a picnic there once we had finished our tour of the park. We arrived at about 12:00 noon, we parked and started to walk around to see the animals; since about a year ago they started to maintain the zoo and put love to the animals, now there are a little more animals and they are better cared and fed, and the spaces are cleaner.

Por todo el parque te vas a encontrar a uno que otro animal suelto, obviamente que no represente ningún peligro tanto para ellos como para los visitantes, habían muchos pavos reales, chivitos, cerditos, entre otros. Primero nos encontramos con el área donde estaban unos caballos, otra con unos cerditos, ovejas y llamas, todos muy amigables jaja ✨.

Luego pasamos al zoológico de contacto, allí si que es muy tierno y gracioso estar jaja, habían más llamas y alpacas 🦙, ponys, vacas, cerditos, ovejas, chivitos y todos eran juguetones sobre todo con los niños, y más cuando se le acercaban a darle los bastones de zanahoria y auyama, no sé quién se divertía más si los niños o los adultos viendo todo lo que hacían los animales 😂, me gusta pensar que a pesar de estar encerrados y no en su zona de confort son felices de cierta forma, y se acostumbran a ellos.... Aunque si me gustaría que por más lindos que son los zoológicos, esos animales estuvieran en su hábitat 😊.

Throughout the park you will find one or another animal on the loose, obviously not representing any danger for them and for visitors, there were many peacocks, goats, piglets, among others. First we came across the area where there were some horses, another one with some piglets, sheep and llamas, all very friendly haha ✨.

Then we went to the contact zoo, there if that is very tender and funny to be haha, there were more llamas and alpacas 🦙, ponies, cows, pigs, sheep, goats and all were playful especially with children, and more when they approached him to give him the carrot and pumpkin sticks, I don't know who had more fun if it was the children or the adults watching everything the animals did 😂, I like to think that despite being enclosed and not in their comfort zone they are happy in a certain way, and they get used to them. ... Although I do wish that as cute as zoos are, those animals were in their habitat 😊.

Llegamos justo a la hora donde hacían un show con los animales más fuertes como el león, la leona y los pumas, ellos están en un lugar más grande pero todo encerrado con mallas y rejas, y le colocan un pedazo de carne en un lugar donde ellos tengan que saltar y treoarse para alcanzarlo y mientras eso pasa, uno de los zoologistas se monta por encima de esas mallas y hace que el león ruja y lo persiga (obviamente si entrar en contacto con el león), hasta que ellos alcanzan su comida y luego se quedan tranquilos y posan para las personas 😂. Hicieron eso con el león, con la leona y dos pumas; había demasiada gente por eso no pude tomarles las fotos tan de cerca como me hubiese gustado, Pero realmente estaban muy lindos esos animales, sobre todo la leona ya que se parecía a la mamá de Simba en el rey León 🦁.

Luego de eso seguimos caminando y vimos a los cocodrilos, alas babas, los mapache (son de mis animales favoritos porque son muy tiernos físicamente), tortugas, guacamayas y como dije, monos porque ellos están en todos lados, más bien hay que tener cuidado de no ir comiendo nada porque se te montan encima y te lo quitan 🫠.

We arrived just at the time where they made a show with the strongest animals like the lion, the lioness and the pumas, they are in a larger place but all enclosed with mesh and fences, and they put a piece of meat in a place where they have to jump and climb to reach it and while that happens, one of the zoologists rides over those meshes and makes the lion roar and chase it (obviously without coming in contact with the lion), until they reach their food and then they stay calm and pose for people 😂. They did that with the lion, with the lioness and two pumas; there were too many people so I couldn't take their pictures as close as I would have liked, But they were really cute those animals, especially the lioness as she looked like Simba's mom in the Lion King 🦁.

After that we kept walking and we saw crocodiles, slime wings, raccoons (they are one of my favorite animals because they are very cute physically), turtles, macaws and as I said, monkeys because they are everywhere, but you have to be careful not to go eating anything because they ride on you and take it away 🦁.

Era ya hora de comer así que nos fuimos a buscar un lugar espacioso y donde no llegara tanto el sol para comer, y por supuesto, dónde los monos no llegaran 😂. Entintamos un sitio perfecto para poner nuestra sabana y hacer nuestro picnic, nosotros llevamos pan con jamón y queso amarillo y nos sentamos a comer allí un buen rato y a respirar aire puro también ya que estábamos rodeados de muchos árboles 🍃.

Luego de un buen rato ya era hora de empezar a caminar hacia la salida no sin antes, comernos un helado en los puestos que se ponen en la entrada del zoológico, no solo está el de helado sino también el de algodón de azúcar, perros calientes, yogurt y un montón de cosas más. Mi helado lo pedí de Parchita con sirope de chocolate 🍫, muy bueno de hecho 🤤. Nos comimos el helado y nos fuimos a buscar el carro al estacionamiento. Otra cosa a destacar es que el estacionamiento cuenta con personas que lo cuidan durante todo el tiempo que el zoológico está abierto, y también te dicen dónde estacionarte y son muy amables los trabajadores ✨.

Definitivamente fue un día muy chévere, y la niña que hay en mi por fin pudo ir a los zoológicos que hay en esta ciudad, un montón de años después pero lo hizo 😂. Gracias por leer mi post, nos vemos en el siguiente bye gente linda ❤️✨.

It was time to eat so we went to look for a spacious place where the sun did not reach so much to eat, and of course, where the monkeys would not come 😂. We found a perfect place to put our savannah and make our picnic, we took bread with ham and yellow cheese and we sat there to eat for a while and to breathe fresh air as we were surrounded by many trees 🍃.

After a good while it was time to start walking towards the exit but not before, eating an ice cream at the stands that are placed at the entrance of the zoo, not only is there the ice cream but also cotton candy, hot dogs, yogurt and a lot of other things. My ice cream I ordered Parchita with chocolate syrup 🍫, very good indeed 🤤. We ate the ice cream and went to get the car at the parking lot. Another thing to note is that the parking lot has people who take care of it during the whole time the zoo is open, and they also tell you where to park and are very friendly workers ✨.
