Hearing others stories
If you’re new to crypto, whatever personal experience anyone told you about crypto, just believe it. If someone told you they lost a fortune, or lost their sons school fees, their house, kidneys, name it, believe it, likewise, if someone told you they made a fortune, turned $50 into $50,000…just believe it because everything they’ve said is possible whether it is true or not is really not your business.
But once you have a feel that there’s a chance of these things happening, you’ve gotten your foot into the door, now forget it, forget about everything you’ve heard, they can only do two things, make you have false hopes, or put fear inside you and neither is going to do anything for you, this is where you start to do your own research and you’re on your way to carving out your own story.
Carving out your own journey
Because trust me everyone will have their own story, if you’re an OG around this space, I’m sure you can relate, it gets even more interesting when you’re a builder, working with different people from different backgrounds and sometimes all you have to work with are people with Apes as profile pictures whom you get to have only discord meetings with once in a month, only a builder can really express this story.
For me though, my story has been quite an interesting one, a typical story of a flair for tech, passion for writing and love for adventure converging and turning into a lifestyle, who could have thought, I’ve had many people ask me how I got here and truly I can’t put my finger on a particular process, it seems to be more of a conjoining of many processes.
However one thing that was apparent at the beginning and is still present till now and perhaps a huge driving force is my interest, everyday I wake up with the interest to know more than I did the previous day, taking each day at a time, two days become one week, which then becomes one month and goes on to become 4 months and before I know it another year is gone…
Learning from the community
Also, the community is another huge contributor to my driving force, when you read from people within the community with similar interest who obviously know better than you, and are doing better than you and putting in more effort than you are, you really have no choice than to be on your toes
Because it’s not a matter of catching up with them, remember I said they’re putting in more effort than you, so automatically, they are always on the move too, so for me, it’s more of learning from them, I don’t know how it works for everyone but it has pretty much worked for me this way and kept me moving all the way.
Then it gets to that point where everything just clicks, all the light bulbs lit up and you begin to talk to yourself in third person, you’ll call your name by yourself and ask why everyone around you is not seeing what you’re seeing or why you came into the game so late, lol, many of us have gone through this cycle, grab a sit, at this point, you’re doing fine.
I remember the first bull run I experienced, I didn’t know what was going on but the entire space was bubbly at that time, it was like everyone in crypto were having a good Christmas, better than everyone else, I thought crypto people were perhaps like that every other day, so I carried on the meaningless jollification until the market changed and everywhere bubbling with people became a ghost town.
Second bull run was crazy because it was the real first one to me, numbers went batshit crazy, I promised myself I was going to get rich, I did get rich, but only most on paper, I was caught up in holding numbers rather than securing hard assets till the tides changed again. But third time is a charm right?
Conclusion
So, here’s the thing. In this crypto jungle, every day is a new chapter in your story. The tales you've heard are just trailers; the real movie begins when you dive in. You'll have your share of ups, downs, and spin-arounds. But at the end of the day, it's all about the lessons learned, the bonds formed, and the trail you blaze. Forget the FOMO, shrug off the FUD, and just do you. Each day, you’re scripting your own saga in this digital wild west. And who knows? Your story might just be the one that gets someone else through the door.
