A beautiful morning to the talented friends onchain. I hope that we are all doing well and putting up all the necessary decorations for Christmas although I am yet to start mine and I do hope that I will get some space to be able to do so before Christmas. Sometimes I always never get to decorate my house been a seamstress that will still stay busy sewing Christmas clothes for people right into Christmas Eve.

And the funny thing is that i often never get to sew new wears for myself for the Christmas. People love to wear new clothes here for Christmas and I really do not blame them because most people here only get to buy new clothes just once every year. Everybody tries to make it a point of duty to purchase sometime nice to wear for the season and when ready to wear clothes
When ready to wear boutique clothes gets too expensive they purchase fabrics and look for seamstresses that will sew them some beautiful designs.

Here is my niece of whom I have just sewn a Christmas Carol outfit for her. Tomorrow is the carol day in their school and she will be acting a drama as the mother of Jesus.

She needed something to cover her hair for the drama because African culture loves that we cover our hair at some point when acting Christmas drama. We are meant to get her a traditional head wear but since that will be very expensive for now I decided to improvise.

I got several pieces of the fabrics and joined them together to see if I can make a headband out of it.

I joined the bigger part of the fabric here and turned it over

And then sewed the smaller ones thesame way.

Next I used one of the small pieces of 1" width and 7inches length, I settled it inside the longest strip and gathered it.

Next I inserted an elastic strip into the black piece of fabric and then pull it into a gathers too.

After that I joined the entire pieces neatly and then she has a scrunchie headband for this drama.
Next on the list is that I have to purchase a baby doll for her as baby Jesus.

I can't wait to see my babies performance tomorrow. She has been practicing her lines and her mother has been helping her fo memorize the script.
