Hello everyone
I am very happy to great a post here today, it is always a thing of Joy for me to share my talent here with you all, but first before I proceed I will love to know how you all are doing, I hope you all are doing great and if you care about me I am doing very great.
I am here to share a little diy process on how to share an Hilux car seat using a very simple process and after this post you should be able to give a try to it if you can sew very well. And it will be a great opportunity if you can follow me and you will have nothing to regret about.
Let get started
Here is the finished seat
This seat was given to me by anti kidnappings square akwa ibom state to renew it for them, although it was done before but the did not like it all
but I make it special for them and the where very happy about the finished work . The seat are complete but I desire to start with the back seat first so I just finished it but still working on the back seat and the promise to bring another car has soon has I finished up this very one
Tool's used
New leather
Sewing machine
And set of spanners
Here was the seat before
I use a sewing tape to measure out the vertical length and the horizontal length of each joining on the seat.
After then I now loose the seat separate for easy shapping and reupholster
Then then transfer the measurement to my new leather and the draw it out
After marking it out I then use my scissors to cut it out you can see the pictures below
After cutting it out I then place the cut material on top of the old seat and then trace out the pattern to form my new pattern
Here are my patterns
After forming my patterns I then use a roof material to gum the new pattern to make it stronger and smooth
I finally cut it out for sewing process
After cutting it out I then use a sewing machine to join the pattern together has it was on the old seat.
It really took my sometimes to finish sewing all those pattern to form the new seat cover. Although it is very simple and everything depends on the way you shape the pattern and if you join it the way you shape it it make it very simple..
After finished sewing the seat covers I then proceeded to the cover process by clipping the new seat cover to the the form through the center.
After I clip the centers I then pull the leather and cover the old body why I also clips the side too to hold it tight and smooth
See photos below, done clipping the both seat
So finally I tight it back you can see the outcome of it. Hope is beautiful and nice
That is all for now.
