Not all trips in life are planned, some trips are done in a hurry and those are the best. Last September 13th was one such day. I set off towards Sirajganj with my elder brother and the best friends of the area. The purpose was to float on a boat in Chalan Beel and hang out at Riya Rupan Park.
Boat trip:
When we entered Chalan Beel in the morning, it felt like today was ours. When we rented a huge boat and went to the middle of the beel, there was only water and water all around. Sitting on the roof of the boat, the stories, songs and funny jokes of the elder brothers were filling my mind. Sometimes stopping the boat and dipping my feet in the water of the beel, and that gust of wind, honestly, my mind was completely frozen. The satisfaction of eating muri makhana together sitting on a boat, cannot be found even in the food of a five-star hotel. The excitement of standing in the middle of the beel and taking a 'group selfie', even when I think about it, I remember it. The beel is the largest in South Asia.
A colorful afternoon at Riya Rupan Park:
We went down the river from the beel to Riya Rupan Children's Park in Ullapara, Sirajganj. It was 3 pm. It was a district next to us, not far away. As soon as I entered the park, I felt like I had returned to my childhood. Although it is a children's park, the crazy things we did with our friends made me feel like I was still young. When we were swinging on the Nagardola, the view of the entire area from above was amazing. The ropeway or cable car ride was one of the best moments of the day. The older brothers were standing below, encouraging us and laughing.

Photography and what's inside the park:
I took a lot of pictures but deleted them as my phone's storage was full. If I had a Hive account then, I would have uploaded all the pictures. But then I had no idea about Hive, or I didn't even know its name.

What is there,
There is a mini train inside the park, which usually takes children, like the National Parliament of Bangladesh, they have built a small parliament, like the National Memorial of Bangladesh, they have built a small memorial. The most interesting thing is, like the Taj Mahal built by the Indian Emperor Shah Jahan, they have built a small Taj Mahal here too. There are giraffe statues, bird statues, dinosaur statues. There is a merry-go-round. There is a ropeway or cable car. There are many boats to ride around in the pond. There are many shops selling toys and cosmetics inside the park. There are different species of plants and they are given different shapes. There are also statues of different animals. There are different species of flowers. There are many more but I don't remember because it has been a long time.

I took a lot of pictures there because I love photography, but because my phone's storage is full every day, I almost have to empty it, but I still kept some pictures as a memory and shared them with you today.

When I finished cooking and eating there before sunset and headed home, I felt a different sense of well-being. That guidance from my elder brothers and this bond with friends, these days, are the ingredients for survival. The vastness of Chalan Beel and that afternoon at Riya Rupan Park will remain very bright in the pages of memory. Those who are looking for a little freedom, should go on such a trip with their friends, their minds will be completely refreshed.
