Yesterday I saw that in this #DiyHub community there was a contest, I was so encouraged, I reblogged the post. After having a busy day I proceeded to search and think about what work I would submit and suddenly I remembered that when I was decorating the living room with allegorical figures of Christmas, I had found in a box a circle of green felt that had been embroidered a poinsettia with beads, beads. The petals and leaves were hand painted many years ago and I never finished it. Every year I wanted to finish it, but time was not enough. Until yesterday I decided to finish this craft and I thought it would be ideal to complete it and make a circular cushion with a woven border in apple green, red and green. Without further ado, here is a brief explanation.

Ayer vi que en ésta comunidad #DiyHub había un concurso, me animé tanto, reblogueé la publicación. Después de tener un día un poco ajetreado procedí a buscar e idear que trabajo presentaría y de repente recordé que cuando estaba adornando la sala con figuras alegóricas de navidad, había encontrado en una caja un círculo de fieltro color verde que había sido bordado una flor de pascua con canutillos, mostacillas. Los pétalos y hojas pintadas a mano hacía muchos años atrás y nunca lo concluí. Cada año me provocaba terminarlo, pero el tiempo no me alcanzaba. Hasta que ayer me propuse a terminar esta manualidad y pensé que sería ideal completarla y hacer un cojín circular con una orilla tejida en verde manzana, rojo y verde. Sin más preámbulos pasamos a dar una breve explicación.

Materials//Materiales:

• A circle of green felt with an embroidered poinsettia.
• Piece of white felt.
• Filling.
• Apple green, red, green thread.
• Sewing needle.
• Sewing thread.
• Crochet needle no. 2.
• Pins.
• Scissors.

• Un círculo de fieltro color verde con una flor de pascua bordada.
• Retazo de fieltro color blanco.
• Relleno.
• Hilo pabilo color verde manzana, rojo, verde.
• Aguja de coser.
• Hilo de coser.
• Aguja crochet n.º 2.
• Alfileres.
• Tijera.

• I placed it on the white felt with pins.
• Then I cut it with the scissors.

• Lo coloqué en el fieltro color blanco con alfileres.
• Luego con la tijera lo corté.

• I proceeded to sew the edge of both circles, leaving a small opening for stuffing.
• The opening was stuffed and sewn.

• Procedí a coser la orilla de ambos círculos, dejando una pequeña abertura para rellenar.
• Se rellenó y se cosió la abertura.

Shore or faralao (lace type) fabric.

Apple green color.

• Insert the apple green wick thread.

Tejido de orilla o faralao (tipo encaje)

Color verde manzana.

• Insertamos el hilo pabilo color verde manzana.

• We knit one stitch and one ch.
• v1: We knit one row of mp, and pr.

Red color.

• v2: Make 3chs, 2chs,skip 3 stitches, 1pa, repeat sequence and pr.

• Hacemos un punto y una ch.
• v1: Hacemos una vuelta de mp, y pr.

Color rojo.

• v2: Hacer 3chs, 2chs,saltar 3 puntos, 1pa, repetir secuencia y pr.

Dark green.

• v3: Make 3chs, 3pa in the space of the previous row, mp, 4pa, mp, repeat sequence all the rest of the row and pr.

Color verde oscuro.

• v3: Hacer 3chs, 3pa en el espacio de la vuelta anterior, mp, 4pa, mp, repetir secuencia todo el resto de la vuelta y pr.

Assembly//Ensamblado:

• Then I noticed that another coat of red paint was missing on the petals.
• I went shopping and purchased the red and green paints.
• I did the touch up painting.
• Let it dry.
• The threads are knotted and hidden.

• Luego observé que faltaba otra mano de pintura color rojo en los pétalos.
• Salí de compra y adquirí las pinturas rojo y verde.
• Hice los retoques de pintura.
• Se deja secar.
• Se anudan y esconden los hilos.

After several years, I am finally wearing my Christmas cushion, thanks to the initiative or contest of the #DiyHub community inspired me to give life to my forgotten craft or WIP. This kind of art brings me comfort and joy to my life in these wonderful days of the nativity of jesus.

Después de varios años, por fin estoy luciendo mi cojín navideño, gracias a la iniciativa o concurso de la comunidad #DiyHub me inspiró a darle vida a mi artesanía olvidada o WIP. Este tipo de arte me reconforta y me alegra la vida en estos días maravillosos de la natividad de jesús.

I love the month of December. Making all kinds of crafts with my own hands, to decorate my home. Every year I make several Christmas ornaments to renew or to replace what has deteriorated.

Me encanta el mes de diciembre. Hacer con mis propias manos todo tipo de manualidad, para decorar mi hogar. Cada año hago varios adornos navideños para renovar o para reemplazar lo que se hayan deteriorados.

All my family and friends like the decorations every year. When I haven't done them they ask me why I haven't done it yet. They are waiting to collaborate in the moment for the cleaning, because first we have to arrange, throw away the unusable and make the necessary arrangements so that everything looks harmonious. Also, very happy to have participated in the First Hive account@diyhub contest in the Hive account@ocd incubation program.

A todos mis familiares y amigos les gustan las decoraciones de cada año. Cuando no las he realizado me preguntan porque aún no lo he hechos. Están pendientes para colaborar en el momento para la limpieza, porque primero hay que acomodar, botar lo inservible y hacer los arreglos necesarios para que todo quede armoniosamente. También, muy feliz de haber participado en el Primer concurso de Hive account@diyhub en el programa de incubación de Hive account@ocd.
