They say good things come in small packages (like perfume in a tiny vial), so this post will be rather short — though that hardly means it was effortless to put together. Just picture it: I woke at 6 a.m., and by 8... 🤭 the passion was in full swing. But let’s press pause for a moment, shall we? Because truthfully, the flurry of events that followed filled my little vial with those good summer vibes — the kind that drift in with July’s golden breath.
Of course, I couldn’t possibly let today end without my debut in this brand-new corner for summer vibes. And though I’m currently tucked inside a rather shadowy situation since around 7 or 8 (let’s cast it aside for good, I don’t want to be a bore going on about power cuts right now) my laptop’s still got an hour of charge, just enough to write this and pop up onto the roof to post it 😉. Summer does tend to awaken my creativity.
So let’s begin with the blues, those radiant hues that I like so much.
That’s where I spent part of the morning and the better half of midday. I came across a few interesting things there — and a cascade of thoughts. I’m craving the beach, a proper one. This is coastal land, mind you. So yes, I could bathe here too, carefully, and I think this spot I used to frequent to play frontenis might welcome me again — especially now I’ve found a gym onsite. Perhaps I’ll feel bold enough to train two or three times a week… time will tell. It’s about 6 USD a month.
I could also rally a few fellow Hivers to help clean up that stretch of coastline. If only you saw the amount of rubbish... 🙄 Try to abstract yourself for a moment — and kindly ignore that plastic bottle lurking near my feet.
But back to the heart of the matter — finally. Do you remember yesterday’s post where I mentioned the squirrel? Well, we had the loveliest games this morning, and I managed to snap a few photos. They’re not exactly masterpieces… but you’ll see that she — or he (I noticed some rather curious little bumps, haha) — was delightfully keen to play hide-and-seek with me. I imagine it was a bit unsettled by Chanel’s presence.
I can assure you I laughed like an absolute fool this morning!
Don’t even try telling me this isn’t art — go on, I dare you! 😂
Pfffff... 🤣
Well, well… look who’s been having a cheeky nibble at my soursops!
What struck me most was that whenever I stopped searching and sat quietly on the terrace, he’d begin making this bop-bop-bop sound. That’s why I named the previous squirrel “Bobap” when I introduced her to Hive.
If anyone remembers that post — hands up!
So this one will be “Bobop”. I must admit, I’m not terribly imaginative with names…
This video is tucked away privately on my YouTube channel. I hope you enjoy it, and perhaps see the blurs as part of the scene’s charm, dressed with a bit of eccentric, summer-styled artistry 😊.
