Hello Worlmappin community! In this blog, I would like to share with you another famous attraction in our province.
Biliran province is sorrounded by many beautiful beaches, making beach resorts an ideal and even a growing business in the province. Aside from that, Biliran has also quite a few beautiful islands accessible through boats and one of them is what I'll share with you today. Recently, our friends from the city are visited us, so me and my local friends decided to take them to one of the beautiful beaches in our province-Dalutan Beach.
Dalutan Island is a part of the Almeria Municipality and is just a half minute boat ride from the main island. Yes, we rented a boat and the boat rent ranges from 1500-2000 Philippine peso. The good news is that one of our visitors insisted of paying for the boat rent, which we gladly and thankfully accepted because he's really capable of paying. We're grateful for the free ride.
The weather was fine as we departed from the main island and there are 15 of us on board. I enjoyed the scenery and the sea waves as we ship while my friends were happily singing songs and the others were chatting.
We're so excited as we're soon to dock. Even from the distant, the white sand can be seen. Everyone was just so excited to swim in the water. The sand felt so hot as we set foot. It's almost lunchtime, so we decided to take lunch first and enjoy the remaining time with whatever we want to do. So we gathered our foods on the table in the cottage that we also rented. There's pizza, stewed fish, slice bread, pancit, sweet potato and chicken adobo. But we realized, there is another food missing-we left the cooked rice. It was left in the van. We hadn't had breakfast yet so we're expecting we could eat a lot by lunch. I pitied everybody's sad reaction when we all learned we didn't have rice for lunch. For us, meals are not satisfying without rice.
There is no store in the island.I have carried with me a cup of uncooked rice. Someone brought a butane and we found a pot for cooking, so we still had a very small amount of rice. Can you imagine a cup of uncooked rice for 25 persons? Haha. We ended up taking just one spoon each. There's a loaf of bread so somehow we managed to survive lunch inspite our missing rice issue.
It was a funny experience and all of us just laughed it off. After taking lunch, we continued to explore the area and play some card games. The island has a lot of trees where you can rest under the shades. There is also a basketball ring which we enjoyed playing shooting balls.
Of course, we did a lot of picture taking with friends, however, I have limited pictures saved in my phone. We stayed in the island for 5 hours and we decided to go home as we observed the weather changed. The boat has waited for us. It had rained heavily as we're going back to the mainland and we reached home wet by because of the rain.
It was a fun adventure with our city friends. Glad to share it with you. Until next time! Love Nes.
