Mount Perisher : 2054m above sea level. All of the skiing and snow boarding in this part of the Perisher Ski Resort are classed as blue runs not as easy the green trails but not as difficult as the black diamond runs. You need to link a couple of lifts and runs together to get here.
When I was working and living in this part of the world, we would head here as soon as we could to get away from the crowds and beginners in the main part of the resort which we called Front Valley. Usually it was straight to the top of the quad chair so it was all down hill, all the way to the Mount Perisher triple chair. Other times if the quad chair was closed or on wind hold we had to link a couple of T bars. T bar lifts can operate in bad conditions as you never leave the ground. A T shaped bar just sits behind your bum and drags you up the mountain via a mechanical rope system.
Once we were on Mount Perisher we were free to ski a bit faster and mess around without getting hassled by the resort ski patrols.
