Hi everyone! I hope you're doing great and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, where today I will be making a post for this weeks Battle Mage Secrets challenge which is about the 'Silent Summoners' ruleset, in which summoners don't bring any perks so it is of no use choosing high mana summoners.
Typically I go for Quix in these battles when the Dragon splinter is available, because it's my highest level Dragon summoner and this way, I can choose cards from two splinters.
To find out how you can participate in these challenges yourself, check out the Splinterlands post here. If you haven't already and have some spare time, I recommend doing so, it is a nice little extra to fund your Splinterlands deck!
Today is the second day the new rewards set is live so this will surely change everything in our battles, exciting times for sure! I made a post about this yesterday.
First look at the battlefield:
I prepared for a magic team and it was a good choice, from the first look, I'll be allright, Baakjira will self heal any incoming damage, which is halved with the Void ability, and I even countered the Affliction the Riverboat Captain brings by bringing a Cleanse unit.
My Line-Up:
- Summoner: Quix the Devious - reason: the ability to choose from two splinters
- First position: Baakjira - reason: Void and Self Heal.
- Second position: Kulu Mastermind - reason: Weapons Train Baakjira and a powerful opportunity monster.
- Third position: Anasth Soothsayer - reason: Tank Heal and Cleanse.
- Fourth position: River Helondale - reason: Inspire.
- Fifth position: Dhampir Infiltrator - reason: Double Strike sneak attacker.
- Sixth position: Swamp Spitter - reason: Repair it's own armor in case of sneak attacks.
The Battle:
Round 1: Not much has happened just yet, my inspire on Baakjira got dispelled, that sucks. Dhampir Infiltrator will eat trough the enemy backline pretty fast now while hopefully my double heal on Baakjira is enough to keep the magic team busy.
Round 2: LOL, the Riverboat Captain got the resurrect instead of the Marksrat with Martyr 😁, Baakjira got fully healed so my plan works out great.
Round 3: Only two left while my full team is still alive, LFG!
Round 4: My Kulu Mastermind has a little damage but that's all the damage there is, pretty nice!

Another win, just stacking the glint and SPS! Thank you Splinterlands!
Well that's it for this week again folks, back to Ranked Play for me, it's tough but fun in Modern for me now, I'm earning around 3.5 - 4 SPS per win and around 350 Glint, pretty nice!
