We live in a place where everything seems to be slowing down. Or better still, going down hill. We thrive, we strive, we lose, we see hells with little or no heavens. Cries are loud but no one to pay attention as everyone is fixated on what they want. This gives no room for depression. Being depressed is seen as a leverage, a gift that you don't get to enjoy.
The people have been made strong. Like glass cooling down from high heat, we have been made to be as strong as a rock, quite like a turtle, gentle as a dove until our paths are crossed so we show how lion-like we can be.
The legality of the government and her authorities is one to be questioned. However, those who do not value their safety are the ones to take a step like this. Rights taken from the citizens. Talk about the Ill doings of the government and they charge you for a crime that God knows where they brought it from.
Laws, rules and regulations are not enough to guide the country men. The rich get away with their wrong doings while the poor suffer for both their wrong doings and things they know nothing of.
We try. We cry. Seems like they are frying our rights in a deep fryer. They eat it and fill their stomach with what is supposed to be ours and come back to cry with us. Tsk..... Sigh Cunning manipulative asses.
In a place filled with the most corrupt people, children are expected to grow into being valued people in the country and beyond.
The law is nothing to write home about. Do you have money? Then police is your friend. You don't have money? Then you are a criminal.
Walk around with your laptop and sleep in a police cell for one night if you do not settle the police people.
Drivers get away with illicit activities, so long as they have a hundred naira (not up to 0.2 dollar).
You don't have a hundred naira to give to the police? Then your car documents will be checked. Down to the least papers. If one is missing, then you are coming to the station. Why? You did not give the a hundred naira. Was 20 naira before but they increased their rates. Haha. Funny but stupid.
I see many posts of people complaining about the legal system. No justice anywhere. The only justice I have witnessed is the name of my neighbor. The man J.
I'm happy to be where I am. My profession is the best. I will choose it over and over again. The president of my country complains of the fact that we always look for ways to run outside the country to practice. Head of the nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria even passed a law that nurses must practice for 2 years in Nigeria before being eligible to travel abroad.
I wish I was talking to him directly but well, quick question. How much are you paying me as a registered nurse? And how much did I spend just to get the qualifications as a registered nurse? You expect me to receive 30 to 60 thousand naira per month when I paid over 2 million naira just to study nursing? C'mon. Not just that, the disrespect from employers (though normal), and other things. Is your stupid ass for real? Doctors treating us nurses like a maid in the ward? What else do your stupid ass has to offer to my table? This is just unfair but well, this is the country we live in. I am sure that I may get prosecuted for my words in this post but well, I am the Kdot of my generation. The voice of the people. "We gon be alright." Its worth the risk.
A proud Nigerian. A committed citizen. A good child and a loyal servant to the country. However, I am not a loyal person to the corruption and illicit activities of the countrys higher ups. The force, the politicians and all other people (citizens) that aid the corruptions.
This is my entry for the Julyinleo day 13
