Greetings brethren.
I appreciate God Almighty for an opportunity to hear his word and also I say a big thank you to brother Eli.
Summary of what I learnt from the service.
The lesson taught was centered around marriage, where we were given insight on what is expected of a man as the husband as well as what is expected of a woman as the wife. We were taught what couples should do to see that their prayers are effective and get answered.
From the scriptures in 1 Corinthians 7:4 where I was made to understand that a man should not deny the wife his body also the woman should not deny the husband her body, because after they got married they became one body, therefore they now have equal rights to each other's body.
I also noted that whenever couples wants to pray they should avoid each other to avoid getting distracted and carried away. From the scriptures in 1 Corinthians 7:5 I was also made to understand that a little about fasting, fasting simple means abstaining from food and it's best done with prayers.
I also learnt form bro Eli that a woman should keep her self neat for her husband because the bible says cleanliness is next to Godliness.
From the scriptures in Isiah 58:6-8 I learnt that whenever we want to fast, we should abstain from gambling, fornication, drugs and all that is earthly or worldly. I was also made to know that whenever couples are fasting they should avoid canal knowledge of each other, as well practice the act of giving, the little you give the helpless goes a long way for them.
Brethren are as well encouraged to practice forgiveness.
I was also made to know that based on research at least three days fasting can help the body rebuild it immune system.
I also learnt that its is wrong as husband and wife, it is wrong for the to show thier body to another and the should abstain from fornication Hebrew 13 : 4.
I also learnt that a man should love his wife just as he lives himself.
I also noted that every good woman is a gift from God.
Finally I noted that every man should respect his wife and treat her nice because they are weaker vessels. Whenever a woman is flowing a man should not have intercourse with her.
What are our former beliefs or expectation that was improved for listening at the Zoom meeting?
I used to think a wife can actually have sexual intercourse with her husband whenever but after the service I was made to understand that, it is prohibited for a wife to have sexual intercourse whenever she's on her period.
How does the study affect us that can make us a better way person that we can use in our daily lives?
It has affected me in more positive ways, as I will know how to pray with my wife when I finally get married.
