When someone lacks value in his or her life, it is because that person has not been passing the value to others. You can’t give what you don’t have and the moment you add value, it shows you have value. The Bible says *...”He who waters must be watered.”
The struggle in your life is a reminder of the things you are supposed to help others to overcome as well. If you have always struggled with an area of your life, be intentional to get out of that problem and while you are out, it is a call for you to also go all out to help others get out of it. Sometimes, the struggle we face is a sign of what we are supposed to live for or the problem we have been created to solve.
When the value in your life is residual, it won’t flow to others. Whatever it is that you are enjoying, it is not for you alone but for others to also be a partaker of. When water doesn’t flow, it stinks. You have been built to build others, helped to help others, lifted to lift others, and favoured to favour others.
A lot of people don’t understand this and that is why they try to reinvent their own ‘truth’ just to suit their own purposes. James 4:3 (NIV) says ”When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with the wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures”. The truth is, God will give you things when He knows it will benefit others. The question you should be asking yourself when you are making a request to God is, ”What is God’s Kingdom gaining from this?. You can’t lie your way out of it because God searches all hearts and He knows your true intentions.
God won’t fund your madness. God won’t give you the capacity to go after ladies just to impress them. If this is your idea of who God is, then you don’t know God and your idea of God is so archaic. Sometimes, poverty is a strategy to tame some people’s excesses. It helps to tame their nuisance level. This is why most people don’t have their desires met. You can never fully ignore the God-factor. It is only someone that is well that can donate blood.
