INTRODUCTION
Interactive Gaming (iGaming), otherwise called gambling, is an innovation that promises to offer players better opportunities in the gaming industry. This system has been around for decades and doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon. That informs the reason why many technological advancements have been deployed to ensure that the gambling industry continues to boom.
THE TRONSCRATCH PLATFORM
TRONscratch is a blockchain-based platform that has a variety of features targeted at improving the fortunes of the global gambling industry. With blockchain backing, it can establish gambles among players without necessarily inviting external sources to join in the system.
Now, it devised two (2) distinct games that would be played on its platform. Before we look at these games, we must have a background of the project. With that, we would be better informed about the opportunities that lie in it.
Web Browser Gaming Platform
Undoubtedly, this could turn out to be the first time that a gaming platform is developed to operate on web browsers. There’s no gainsaying that mobile-based games are reigning in recent years. Hence, the reformation we have here is one that empowers players to play their favourite games on the web without necessarily downloading it to their mobile devices.
That said, TRONscratch also took the notch higher by allowing players to engage in gambling activities without middlemen interference. All it does is to delegate the smart contract technology to see to the gambling while blockchain helps in establishing trust.
THE TRONSCRATCH GAMES
Two games have so far been developed to operate on the TRONscratch blockchain. The ROCK PAPER SCISSORS and the TIC TAC TOE would be the pioneer DApp-formulated games that would be played and gambled on TRONscratch.
*The ROCK PAPER SCISSORS Game
This game is meant for two players. To play this, the players are expected to either win or end up in a tie.
First, let’s look at the background of the concepts that make up the game. The PAPER, in this instance, is a flat hand. The SCISSORS is the formation of the “V” shape – it can be formed by the use of the fist, the index finger, and the middle finger. The ROCK is a closed fist.
Here is a likely scenario. We would use the two players to explain this; one would pick ROCK while the other will play SCISSORS. The expectation is that the player with ROCK would beat the other. When this happens, it is asserted that the ROCK (closed fist) has covered SCISSORS (the V shape).
If it takes another form, then we would be looking at a player that plays PAPER. In that instance, if the player wins, it is affirmed that PAPER was able to cover ROCK. The latter, in turn, proceeds to cut the PAPER. The game would still be replayed if none of these happens, which means a tie. So, the players would have to get down to business until a winner emerges.
*The TIC TAC DOE Game
The other game on TRONscratch is the TIC TAC DOE, which is also called the Noughts and Crosses. In this game, only two players have are required. Their goal is to either emerge victoriously (to beat the other player) or to hold down the other player to a draw.
The players would have to compete to place their three (3) marks on the 3x3 grid. The targets are diagonal, vertical, and horizontal. The player that succeeded to complete this before the other does emerges the winner.
Conclusion
TRONscratch’s features are dedicated attempts to make gambling easier for players. The two-player system is commendable because it helps to increase the winnings of the player that beat the other to the game. Besides, the use of blockchain and smart contract to underwrite is an informed step to facilitate a hitch-free gambling process.
In the future, TRONscratch also plans to develop and integrate other games like Checkers and Dart. That way, players would have a variety of blockchain-based games to gamble on.
