Last week I and my friends camped at Nipah beach, Nasi Island, Aceh Besar. Coincidentally, that was right on World Tree Day, Nature Lovers Students (MAPALA) School of Forestry Sciences (STIK) Banda Aceh held a conservation camp on the beach. I took part in the event.
This beach is located outside the island of Sumatra, which means we have to cross to the island by boat. Actually there is a big ship to sail there, the schedule is not every day like the schedule for the cruise to Weh Island, Sabang. However, there is another alternative besides the big ship, namely the fishing boat. Every day fishing boats ship to Nasi Island and Breuh Island, but only one cruise route, in the afternoon from Banda Aceh-Nasi Island, in the morning from Nasi Island-Banda Aceh.
When we arrived at Nipah beach, we immediately put up our tents and other camping equipment, and were busy cleaning.
This beach also has two shelters for those who want to spend the night here, there are shelters that you can rent.
Being on this beach we can see directly the island of Weh Sabang and the mainland of Banda Aceh City. If in the morning we can also watch the sun rise directly from behind Mount Seulawah Agam, it is very beautiful. Nipah Beach is the choice of guests who come to Nasi Island for camping. We are presented with clean beaches and clear water.
I highly recommend this place to other Hivers if you want to have a vacation.
