Finally, after 4 days of intense activities, yesterday marked the end of the 5th National Environment Conference of Brazil.
It was the culmination of a long process that began with municipal conferences, went through state conferences, and reached its national stage, also involving free and intermunicipal conferences. Representatives from various social movements - waste pickers, indigenous peoples, traditional communities, women's groups, youth, public servants - were present, with the right to speak and vote. A great democratic event, to consolidate the "Brazil of the Future" and move towards it.
Organizations present set up a large mural of flags in the CNMA master plenary.
Almost 100 motions, of all types, were approved in the plenary, another very important democratic mechanism.

Thousands - perhaps more than a million, the numbers need to be checked - of people were involved, and proposals were submitted, which were systematized into more than 500, of which about 1000 were prioritized, and the 10 most voted gained visibility in the closing ceremony, where they were read and handed to Minister Marina Silva, who closed the Conference with a speech evaluating the whole movement and its results.
Although it ended in the early afternoon, it was an intense day, with lots of dancing and music - even Margareth Menezes, Minister of Culture and well-known Brazilian singer - made an appearance and performed at the end of the event.
A big lunch closed the conference's activities, and then everyone returned to their places of origin, with buses and more buses taking people to the airport.
Since I am local, after the activities I headed home, and even decided to take a walk to help digest the big lunch, save a bit on Uber, and get some exercise, which earned me a post in the #exaust community through 
I confess that I finished the week quite tired, but very satisfied with the results, our Environmental Education was present in the two most voted proposals and in several others among the 100 prioritized.
Now it's time to recover energy, analyze and carefully evaluate each proposal and the set as a whole, and mobilize for the "Union and Reconstruction" of Brazil, from our current government.

Finalmente, após 4 dias de intensas atividades, encerrou ontem a 5ª Conferência Nacional de Meio Ambiente do Brasil.
Foi a culminância de um longo processo, que começou nas conferências municipais, passou pelas estaduais até chegar a sua etapa nacional, envolvendo ainda, conferências livre e intermunicipais.
Representantes de diversos movimentos sociais - catadores, povos originários, comunidades tradicionais, grupos de mulheres, jovens, servidores públicos - se fizeram presentes, com direito a voz e voto. Um grande evento democrático, para consilidarmos o "Brasil do Futuro" e rumarmos a ele.
Organizações presentes montaram um grande mural de bandeiras na plenária master da CNMA.
Quase 100 moções, de todo o tipo, foram aprovadas na plenária, outro mecanismo democrático muito importante.

Milhares - talvez mais de um milhão, é preciso verificar os números - de pessoas, envolvidas, e de propostas apresentadas, às quais foram sistematizadas em mais de 500, das quais foram priorizadas cerca de 1000, e as 10 mais votadas ganharam visibilidade na cerimônia de encerramento, onde foram lidas e entregues ministra Marina Silva, que encerrou a Conferência com um discurso, avaliando todo o movimento e seus resultados.
Apesar de ter encerrado no início da tarde, foi um dia intenso, com muita dança e muita música - até Margareth Menezes, Ministra da Cultura e conhecida cantora brasileira - deu o ar da graça e uma palhinha no final do evento.
Um grande almoço encerrou as atividades da conferência, e depois todas as pessoas retornaram aos seus locais de origem, ônibus e mais ônibus levando o pessoal pro aeroporto.
Como sou local, após as atividades tomei o rumo de casa, inclusive resolvi dar uma caminhada, pra ajudar na digestão do farto almoço, economizar um pouco no Uber e fazer algum exercício, o que me valeu um post na comunidade #exaust atraves do
Confesso que terminei a semana bastante cansado, mas muito satisfeito com os resultados, nossa Educação Ambiental se fez presente nas duas propostas mais votadas e em varias outras das 100 priorizadas.
Agora é recuperar as energias, analisar e avaliar cada proposta e o conjunto delas com muita atenção, e nos mobilizarmos pela "União e Reconstrução" do Brasil, la do nosso governo atual.
