I have some lovely photos today, crows, dragonflies and a squirrel.
Mom, what are we going to eat today, the youngster at the left asked the mom at the right.
We have been watching our resident Pied crows for a few days now since they left the nest in a high palm tree across the road.
So I was in the garden taking photos of a dragonfly when my wife called me to say that she saw the crows flying over. Hopefully I went to the fence at the back of the garden and peeped through the bougainvillea branches. There they were on a high street lamp and you will see the rest here.
At first with the naked eye, I thought that there were only two crows up there until I zoomed in. There were 3 and the dad was sitting in the palm tree. So that means 2 youngsters.
The mom lowered her head in tiredness, as they have already had breakfast.
Now onto another subject.
Now this strange visitor looks suspiciously like a Pantala Dragonfly (Pantala flavescens), but I stand corrected, as I have never seen it before.
I am showing you 3 photos of this beauty here.
And finally I will show you how hot it is here, as the squirrels frequently pop up during the day for a drink at the birds bath.
And there you have it. We are currently locked in what they call a "dangerous heatwave" and this morning a new warning was sent to tell people to stay indoors. 41 Celsius is no joke up in Wellington and other towns even higher.
Luckily we sit at 29C today and for the weekend we will have 37C on Saturday and 34C on Sunday. These are only estimates though and we all know that at times the weatherman can get things wrong. It might go much higher, but we hope not.
So we will just battle through the hot days as best we can.
I hope that you have enjoyed the post and blessings to all.
And That's All Friends.
