Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
This was my first day at Pokhara, Nepal. 🇳🇵
As soon as I woke up, I realise that my guide was true. The first thing I witnessed right in front of me, were huge mountain ranges covered with snow. In the photograph below, you can see the view from my hotel room as captured from inside of my window. It’s a little bit frosty and a little bit blurry picture, but somehow you’ll get the glimpse of it.
I never saw anything like that before in my life, the mountains were very very huge. The height of Pokhara is not itself very much, but there is a steep increase of height from this point and beyond. The elevation gain is just incomparable to anywhere in the whole world.
From one side, you could see the planes only a few hundred metres from sea level. But on the right opposite side of it, you can see some mountains even more than 8000 m in height.
The view from the window just looked like a picture. It didn’t look real. It just looks like someone has hung a picture on the wall mountain Ridge, which I am seeing was from Annapurna Mountain Range.
After having my breakfast at the hotel, in fact, having the best breakfast ever at the hotel, I got ready. I didn’t bring my phone to the restaurant, so I wasn’t able to capture any photograph, but the breakfast I had was really good and the hospitality of my hotel was just outstanding.
It was going to be a long day today as we had a lot of things planned for the day and a lot of places to visit. I was so looking forward to get around in this beautiful place, and the thought of seeing such tall mountains up close, was really making me excited.
Our hotel was at the Lakeside, which is one of the best and most beautiful areas of Pokhara city. We had to cross this beautiful street in a minibus that was dedicated for us to travel across this beautiful city.
The first destination that we were going to visit was Vidya Vasini Temple, which was about 20 to 25 minutes away from my hotel room. We drove all the way from the highway and across the city to reach the outskirts of the Pokhara city.
After 25 minutes in the mini bus, our driver
Instructed us to get off, and now it was time for us to move to the temple. The temple was about 200 m from the place where we devoted from the Bus. It was on an elevated place, so there was also a lift service for the senior citizen people at a nominal charge so that they didn’t had to climb a lot of stairs .
In the photograph below, you can see all the pics that were visible from the place. I tried to capture as many as I could in a single photograph for you guys to see at once the application that I am using is peak visor.
All these specs are from Annapurna range, and some of them are even more than 7000 m in height. There was a constant cool breeze that was blowing here that was making the atmosphere so good that is not explainable in words.
I’m gonna tell you guys about my journey from here in the next blog. I think that is it for today.
Thanks for passing by.
