Namaste 🙏
Hope you are doing great !!!
First of all, I would like you thank you all for all the love and support on my last blog. It really means a lot to me and support like this really makes me feel motivated and fulfilled. In this blog I will be continuing my journey of exploring the unexplored mountain above Riyara village and today’s topic will specifically be this high altitude dense forest that we witnessed just before reaching to the top.
Diving deep into the high altitude forest-
After crossing the flat agricultural land that we witnessed at about 3500m elevation, we entered this really dense forest that consisted of the kind of trees that we hadn’t seen before. It was looking like a scene from a movie as sunshine was falling on the trees and was penetrating through the branches.
There was a broken branch over there on the way and that was really heavy. It looked a bit dangerous to cross through the way but we had to walk anyhow as there was no other way. We walked through it and it felt amazing just to witness such beautiful views.
The last woods—
We walked through the forest for about an hour and then headed straight to the top of the mountain. We could see the last woods from there and we needed to cross those too to reach our destination for the day.
We hiked straight up taking the shortest and the most elevated route so that we could reach the top easily. The views were just so dreamy and so mesmerising from up there that it felt like out of the world. It just looked and felt like heaven just being there and breathing the fresh air and cool breeze just felt so refreshing.
We were now at such a place that we were able to see the whole valley from up there. The view of several villages at once was looking dramatic with the river flowing in between the tall mountains. It felt like we were literally walking on sky and earth was below us.
After walking for another half an hour, we now reached the point where tree-line was ending. We were now about to reach the Non Tropical Area that usually starts above 3600-3700m elevation. We gained a lot of elevation today and we were still going strong.
There were no trees beyond this point and the only vegetation that we were able to see were green bushes and short shrubs with grass all around. The mountain top was full of grass these days and it looked phenomenal!!!
Just look at the photos below. Doesn’t they look like straight out of dream? All the elements that one could imagine in a perfect landscape can be found here. It was an unexplored and less traveled place in the middle of nowhere.
As we reached this perfect spot, we sat there for about and hour just to soak in the view and also to catch up with our breath. We were a bit tired after walking for so long and this was a much needed break.
I will be continuing my journey in the next blog. This is sufficient for this one. Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
