Namaste đ
Hope you all are doing great!!!
First of all, I would like to thank all of you for love and support on my last blog. It really means a lot to me when I get mentioned in top three of the #traveldigest by and it motivates me to write more of such blogs for you guys. In last blog, I showed you the Bada Gumbad of Lodhi Garden, but in this blog, I will be showing you the tomb that is right next to it, called Shish Gumbad.
I would like to start this blog by this beautiful photograph that I captured. It looks so aesthetic and has randomly been clicked by me. The birds flying over these historical monuments look really amazing and add a very unique vibe to the overall environment.
This has to be the first selfie of the series, and it features me with the historic Shish Gumbad in the background. This selfie is taken from the backyard of Bada Gumbad. You can also notice a lot of people roaming around in the garden and having the time of their lives.
And now it was who captured this amazing photograph of me, posing in front of this historical monument. I donât know why I was feeling very photogenic that day. I guess itâs the courtesy of Mr Pranav.
We came downstairs from Bara Gumbad and look back towards the backyard of Bada Gumbad. The photograph above shows you the same. You can also see the graves that were outside of the Bada Gumbad in the photograph above. Another rail Informatik thing outside of the Bada Gumbad, was this map, which I found to be really helpful. It gave us an overview of where we were in the garden, otherwise, we wouldnât have known. It also told us about the history of this monuments that I am further extending to you guys.
Now we were approaching the sheesh Gumbad, and to be very honest, it looked really stunning, although it was smaller than Bada Gumbad, but in spite of that the way it was built really attracted me. It was not much different from the Bada Gumbad what the location it was built and how it was built as a standalone monument was really appealing. You can see that in the photograph above yourself.
Now talking about a little bit of history, this monument was also built about 500 to 600 years ago by Lodhi Sultan same as the most of the monument in this garden, but itâs different from Bara Gumbad as itâs a tomb. The people who are worried inside this monument are unknown, but they are considered to be really close to the Sultan of Lodhi dynasty.
If you are interested in knowing more, you can also refer to the text in the photograph above, and youâll get the whole picture of how and when and who and why it was built. I am just summarise everything for you guys, but if you are interested in details, you can refer to that very photograph.
Before getting inside of the monument, this time we decided to revolve it once before getting in so that we could get the whole picture of where we were. Another thing that was really exciting about this place. Was this trees around the monument that really made it stand out.
There was a group of friends who were jamming outside of this monument. They were having time of their lives, and we also got interested and listen to them for a period of time.
And there were others who were just sleeping and chilling, and doing nothing, but just relaxing. This is the kind of vibe this place has to offer. You can either have fun here or you can just chill. This place will never disappoint you.
And when you try to look a little bit, further, all you see is greenery and a huge variety of Flora. I tried to capture what I meant to say in the photograph below, for you guys to refer to. Now we were about to complete one circle of this monument, and I couldnât wait anymore to get inside of it.
In this photograph, you can see Pranav capturing the photograph of this monument against an Informative board. I also got interested and have captured the same.
The signboard said that it was a protected monument, and I was really happy to know that another thing that I noticed was there were many foreign tourists that were attracted by the beauty of this garden, and I felt proud that they were not at all turned off by the vibe of this garden. Everyone was having a good time and thatâs all what it matters.
The areas around the monument were really well maintained as you can see in the photograph below the hedge are cut to the perfection and the grass is always cut to the perfect length.
Now the circle was complete, and we were now in front of the monument again. It was now time to get inside of this Shish Gumbad. The photograph below shows the view of Bada Gumbad from the Shish Gumbad before we turned right to get inside of the monument.
As soon as we got inside, we saw that it was a really well lit and well ventilated space with 7-8 graves inside of it. I was really amazed to see the architectural detail it held from within. It was really a piece of art, and it should definitely be preserved forever for the future generations to see.
There were a lot of people around us, and everyone was capturing photographs. We spent a couple of minutes inside and then again went outside to explore the other areas of this huge garden about which I will be writing in coming blogs.
Thatâs all for today.
Hope you had a great time.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace âŽď¸
