Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
Time had come now to visit the most famous and most significant tourist destination of Janakpur in Nepal. We were really really very excited and happy to visit inside of the very famous Janaki Temple of Janakpur. It’s one of the most beautiful temples are ever built throughout the world. This temple has a beauty of its own and will be seeing that in the photographs below.
But before showing you guys the temple, I would love to tell you guys about the story of reaching here, so if you guys have been following My Best blogs, you should be knowing that in Janakpur, we decided to travel the city in Tuk Tuk. So for those a few, who don’t know what Tuk Tuk is, it’s a kind of rickshaw or a little car just like a golf cart, but smaller than that that can carry up to 6 people at once. It’s a really cost-effective and environment friendly method of travelling in cities across Asian countries, just like Nepal.
We had booked a lot of Tuk Tuks as we were a large group of people with a lot of people travelling at once, so people were looking at us seeing the condition of us roaming around in Tuk Tuk. In one of the photograph above, you can see how people were reacting to seeing us.
When we saw the first sight of this beautiful temple, we were really stunned to see the beauty. I held. You can say in the photograph below that how beautiful it looked from outside of the gate. This is the photo which I took from inside of the Tuk Tuk.
We got out of our Tuk Tuk to reach inside of the temple. It was indeed a very special and spiritual experience as soon as we put our first footstep on the ground. I couldn’t wait to get inside of this beautiful temple.
There were some shops selling the Pooja required things outside of the temple. We bought some so that we could offer that inside to the God. I was really happy to buy all these things with my Indian currency instead of Nepali currency. As I had very less Nepali currency. I even exchange some of my Indian currency to Nepali currency from the shopkeepers, and I was really happy to do that.
As soon as we got inside of the temple, the environment certainly changed. Everything there was a little bit chaotic outside of the temple came to rest at once. It was a completely different vibe inside of this temple. There was a different kind of peace inside of the temple that can never be written in any words.
We were so happy there and we were taking some photographs. I took the selfie with my grandparents and my newly made friend that I mentioned in my previous blog. My friend was about 60 years older than me, but we were having a good time travelling across Nepal.
Even the gate was so grand that you could sense from a distance that you are entering inside of a big castle. It was a Mahal that was built for Mata Sita and it’s called Naulakha Mahal for a reason.
Now I will tell you guys about the history of this temple and why and how it was built. So the finishing date of this temple is around 1960s but the history goes way back beyond this. It is believed that Mata Sita were found here. The Golden statue of Mata Sita that was found is still here. It was found in 15th century and this has been secret site ever since.
The latest construction of this temple is done using Marvel and there are stones engraved inside of the Marvel with many paintings that make this masterpiece, really beautiful.
Just look at the details and how detailed the craftsmanship is done. Here I salute to all the people who are involved in such delicate tasks of creating art in these buildings. It’s such a difficult task that people attain with ease who respect their craft.
I was really happy to be inside of this temple, and we wanted to explore this temple more. As we wanted to get inside of the temple, we had to stand in queue and wait for our turn to do the Darshan.
It was not very long, but still, it would easily take 10 to 15 minutes of our time. The weather was really good. Everything was fine, and we didn’t had any issues so we were standing peacefully in the line and waited for our time to come.
I’m gonna tell you guys about the detailed description of this temple and also show you guys the inner photograph that I took in the next blog. I think that is it for today.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
