Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
Today’s blog is going to be about another very famous tourist spot of Pokhara called Davis Fall. It’s also called Underworld's Waterfall as it leads about 500ft underground inside a cave like structure.
The Gupteshwar Mahadev is situated in that cave where the Davies fall makes a stream underground. These both tourist spots are opposite to each other and can be reached just by crossing a road.
If you have been through my last blog, you must be knowing that I had to make my grandparents outside of the cave as it was very, very suffocating from inside, and it was also very slippery and congested. So I came out of the Gupteshwar Mahadev cave early to show my grandparents around the Davis falls without much crowd entering there first.
So we were one of the first ones in our group to enter this place, and it was mostly empty. We were travelling with a huge group as you know so standing 150 people at once at such a small place makes the place very congested.
This time I wanted to make it peaceful for my grandparents as they were not even able to see the last site that we saw. Taking advantage of the early visit, we roam around the empty garden that let us towards the waterfall.
This was really a very peaceful place and a place that everyone should visit whenever they are in Pokhara. The green garden is so well maintained and has such a positive vibe that you don’t want to get away from here.
After a while, you suddenly reach the end zone, where you see the waterfall from sightseeing place that you can see in the photograph below.
The area around the waterfall was very well fenced so that any miss happening could be avoided. Talking of miss happening, the name of the Davis fall is outcome of a miss happening only. It was when Western woman with her husband was swimming in the river, and she accidentally fell into the cave. After a couple days, she was found dead, and this waterfall was named after her.
We also move towards the edge of the cliff so that we could see the waterfall. I already saw the waterfall from inside of the cave when I went to the Gupteshwar Mahadev cave, but I wanted to show my grandparents the view of waterfall.
The waterfall was not very big, but it was very long and Deep. It is more than 500 feet from the top and there is a dead end at the bottom. That is very, very dangerous. You should always be careful whenever you are standing at such a high places as it can even get fatal.
We stayed there for a while, and I decided to move towards the other side so that I could capture the other point of view photograph of the Deep cave, where the water was flowing.
So I moved towards the other side of the cliff and capture this beautiful photograph for you guys that you can see. In this photograph, you can also see people standing on the edge of the fence to see the waterfall in its full glory.
As we were quite early to this place, so we had a lot of time left now to explore the nearby places and the nearby garden that this campus has to offer. So I peacefully set in gazebo with my grandparents and enjoyed the beautiful day for a while.
That is it for today.
Thanks for passing by.
Peace ☮️
