Namaste 🙏
Hope you all are doing great!!!
I feel really delighted and happy and a bit nostalgic to write this last post to end my series of Bharat Nepal yatra, which I started a couple months ago. I’ve written more than 60 posts and I’m really proud that I captured all the details of my trip and now all the details are saved here on hive.
This trip was about 15 days long, and I took about two months to cover it up on hive. This trip was really special to me and travelling with my grandparents is none less than a blessing. I wanted to keep these memories with me forever, so I wrote down all the experiences and captured all the beautiful moments that I had here on hive.
Travelling from Pokhara to Nautinwa border-
So finally, it was time to say goodbye to Nepal, and also to this beautiful city of Pokhara. I’ve been travelling around Pokhara from last two days and I spent about total five days in Nepal, including my trip to Kathmandu and Man Kamna Devi Temple as well.
We entered from Janakpur towards Nepal, but we were departing from a different route. This time we had to get back by Gorakhpur and the exact point that we were heading towards Nautinwa.
We got up at about 6 AM, and we had to board our bus that let us towards the border. It was going to be long 5 to 6 hours journey and that too through the hill areas. It was going to be an uncomfortable journey, so we had to be prepared for it.
As already mentioned that it was going to be a really hard journey to overcome that I just plugged in my earphones and I dozed off for complete three hours of journey, and because of that, I was not able to capture many photographs of the first phase.
But as soon as we stop for lunch, I was ready and fully charged to capture the photographs for you guys. It was a really beautiful place where we stopped for lunch. I don’t exactly remember the name of the place, but the food was delicious, and the view of the river was very beautiful.
I observed that all the other vehicles were also stopping at this point only, and this looked like one of the major stoppage on the road. There was nothing about this place, but the overall vibe of this place made everyone stop.
As you can see in the photograph below, the place was a really cosy place, and it was just enough for all of us to sit at once. Luckily, we got a good seat and we got served really well. This was the last time we were having Nepali cuisine in Nepal as we were going to be entering India.
Now we were somewhere in the foothills of himalayan region, and we were soon going to be entering Gorakhpur of India. Our train was waiting for us at the station in which we started our journey.
They were distance villages that were visible from the place. I was standing in after lunch. We voted the bus again and headed straight towards our destination. That was Indian Nepal border.
Crossing India Nepal border to reach Delhi-
There was a short spot where our buses could not go because this was a spot of immigration and the Nepali vehicles were not allowed beyond the border, so there were many Indian vehicles that came specially for us towards the other side of the border, just to pick us up and drop us to the railway station.
In this photograph below, you can see us getting devoted at the taxi stand of the railway station from where we would be getting our train that would take us back to the capital of India. That is New Delhi.
This was the entry gate of the station. It wasn’t a really big station. It was just a small station with two platforms. It was the last station of India while travelling to Nepal from Gorakhpur, and our train was soon to be arriving here.
It was evening time, and we all were really tired as you can see in the photographs below. We all were eagerly waiting for our train to arrive so that we could sleep peacefully and reach New Delhi. The very next day.
I was really happy and nostalgic at the same time. When I boarded the train. I state went to the washroom and I captured the selfie. I was really happy about my journey that I completed with my grandparents. It was one of the major journeys I’ve ever had in my life, and I learnt so much about the culture of Nepal in this journey.
We all were really tired because of the travel that we did all day. It was really a very uncomfortable travel because of the road, but somehow this was the only way we could reach here. So finally we were here and we went to the dining area of the train, where we had the dinner for the last time before reaching India.
Afterwards, we reached at the library where I studied for about an hour before going to the bed. I really like to be in the train, and I would surely suggest everyone to experience this once in lifetime.
We slept peacefully for total of about 12 hours. It was a very undisturbed sleep because we all were very tired, and after that in the morning, we were at the destination that Delhi.
We reach around 10 AM, and it was time to say goodbye to everyone. It was a really beautiful journey that we had and we lost track of the past 1415 days and we all wanted this journey to continue, but somehow just like this also has to end.
At last, I would like to thank for this amazing project that has motivated me to write about my experience. That really means a lot to me. Writing every day has also invoke a kind of discipline in me that was missing. I feel proud about myself, and I am really grateful to have been writing on worldmappin. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during my writing session as this has really motivated me to write almost every day.
That’s all for today.
I’ll be back tomorrow with another blog from another city.
Thanks for passing by.
