So after my successful visit to the most beautiful temple of Mithila, the Janaki Temple, it was time for us to visit one of the most important and secret place of Janakpur. This is a place where really important historical event took place thousands of year back. This is a place that witnessed the marriage of Lord Shri Ram and Mata Sita.
This place is in vicinity of Janaki Temple of Janakpur around five minutes of time to reach to this place from the Janaki Temple. There is a dedicated gate to the vivah Mandap inside of the Janaki Temple campus itself. The board of the Vivah Mandap can be seen in the photograph below.
To get inside of the temple, you need to pay a fee of about ā¹10. Itās a nominal amount of charge that the management charges just to give the place maintained. By such a little amount, place got really well maintained. As you can see in the coming photographs. Here was super clean and pristine, and you will love to be here any time you will come to Janakpur.
After getting four tickets for my grandparents, me and my newly made friend, we started getting inside of the Vivah Mandap. There was a very beautiful path that was built ahead of the Vivah Mandap with garden on both side that led us towards the centre of attraction.
There was a little temple built on the place where the marriage of Lord Ram and Mata Sita took place. This temple looked really beautiful from a distance as you can see in the photographs. We couldnāt wait to get to the temple and see it up close.
One thing that I noticed while getting near to the temple was that the garden was really well maintained and they were green trees and plants all around us. As Janakpur can be really hot in summers, so itās really beneficial to have long trees with shadow so that people can easily visit in summer too.
As fever, reaching towards the temple, the clear vision of what was inside was visible from just the way its self. Although this was not the original Mandap that was built thousands of years ago because of the understood reasons, but this was indeed the same place where that historical event took place, and this was just a symbolic representation of that ancient event.
The closer we came towards the temple, the better it looked. It wasnāt looking that good from a distance, but as we approached and came near to it, it started revealing its details. It was a perfect example of great craftsmanship as you can see in the photographs below.
The overall structure of this campus was made in such a way that this central masterpiece stood in Centre while they were for other little constructions of Little temples that were built around it just like a fort. This campus was really beautiful with ample amount of space left for everyone to revolve around it
We stayed in the queue for about a couple minutes before. It was our turn to get inside of the temple and see what was there. There were many idols of all the Lords and people that were present at the time of the marriage of Lord Ram with Sita, it was just symbolic depiction of the event that took place t. housands of years ago.
If you havenāt been through my previous blogs of various temples that I visited, you must be knowing that it is a tradition of Hinduism to revolve around all the temples. So this was meant to be that we would take some revolutions of this temple as well.
We started revolving from left to right, and it was a quite broad place for everyone to revolve. There was a garden on the sidelines, and there was a huge garden at the backside of the temple as well.
From the backside of the temple, Janaki Temple was also visible and it was looking so beautiful that I couldnāt stop myself, but to take multiple pictures of this awesome view. The photograph below is my favourite photograph from all of the photographs that are here in this blog.
As already mentioned that I took multiple photographs of this amazing scenery. I wanted to keep this view that was in front of my eyes with me forever. So I captured some photographs in all the orientations that were possible.
I also took one photograph of the temple itself, and in this photograph, I am trying to show you guys the architectural construction of this temple. It was mostly made out of the wood and stones as you can see the photograph and it looked just amazing. It was not that old, it was mostly about a few hundred years old not older than that, but this place was of great cultural importance for Hindu people.
After spending about half an hour in this campus, it was time for us to get back to our hotel room. This was the last destination of our trip to Janakpur now coming up. We had to get back to our hotel and afterwards we need to take the flight to Kathmandu. We are really looking forward to visit Kathmandu.
