bienvenidos😊🙏👍🏿
Hello 👋 community, I hope you are well, I send you a big and strong hug from Caracas Venezuela 🇻🇪 ❤.
Today I made my first two drawings with watercolor, a new experience for me because most of my drawings have always been only with gradient pencils or charcoal.
I am one of the people who thinks that a drawing looks more aesthetic only with gradient pencils, but since I entered university I have learned that a drawing is a story that we tell on a sheet of paper or other blank supports.
The reason why I decided to start with the color closest to my classmates' suggestion was to develop myself more as an art student.
Definitely with these last two drawings I have felt very identified by the use of color and the contrasts that each one makes on the other. For this drawing I took as reference the best Venezuelan painter of the 20th century, Armando Reverón. In Reverón's paintings, beyond the color palette, he told us his own story as an artist, how he missed his mother, how he loved and loved his wife... One of the things I like most about the paintings of the madman from Macuto is how he represents himself in his paintings using the self-portrait technique, freezing his own image in time and space.
These were the drawings that I made, in the first one I worked with watercolor and then I complemented it with graphite generating a mixed technique, seeking to express with the image the discovery of a new world, where the character in the drawing is guided by the branches of a tree 🌳.
And in this second drawing I only worked with watercolor, trying to express or represent the relaxation I felt at that moment in my life.
And nothing people, that is all I have done with watercolor, the truth is it was a very beautiful and enriching experience for me, I hope to continue developing my technique with watercolor to be able to continue sharing my experience as an art student, I sent you a big and big hug again community, bye 👋❤🎨.
