Sometimes when I see people complaining because they paid for something that turned out not to be what it promised to be, I wonder if they are aware of the quality-price relation that exist in business and in everything in life.

Everything is on the level
For example, when I read reviews on the Internet about some mid-range cellular device, I often find that the experts say that the device lacks things to be better, and start talking about a whole series of qualities that mobile devices of the same brand, but that they are in a higher range of the market.
It's as if they don't fully understand that you can't get the most that the market has to offer if you're not willing to pay for it accordingly.
Because you have to understand one thing, the range in any technology makes a difference. The range is class, the range means higher or lower quality, and therefore, higher or lower cost respectively to acquire said technology.
If the brand of what you buy is good, it will add value, and that means that at all levels (low, medium and high ranges), it will have a good level of performance-quality, but at the moment of truth, if we are going to buy a device electronic, or any technological artifact, we must be very aware that we cannot find the best of the best for modest prices. What we can do is get devices that have great performance depending on the price range in which it is located.
As a general rule, the more features that what we buy offers, the more expensive it will be in monetary terms, it is as simple as that. We cannot claim that a low or mid-range cellular device, for example, has all the qualities and features of high-end devices, because that's not how it all works, and because it wouldn't serve the big brands to do that, as they would boycott sales of their main and most profitable devices themselves, thereby generating lower sales and profits on their high-end devices.
Ask yourself, would you pay more money for something you can get for less money?
No, right? and the big brands are very aware of this, and therefore, that is the reason why low-end devices will never have the same level of performance as mid-range or high-end devices.
Also ask yourself: If you were selling any product or service, would you offer the most expensive and desirable ones at the lowest cost? No, right? you would offer your products and services at a price that would be in direct relation to the value they provide. Well, that is the differentiation of the ranges.

In the field of technology, low-end devices are also called “entry range”, because they are designed by that people who have never had devices of the brand in question, acquire one and begin the loyalty process.
The mid-range ones are halfway between the low-end and the high-end ones, and that is also noticeable both in performance and in price. Obviously, mid-range devices are more expensive than low-end devices, but they are less expensive than high-end or premium devices; And all of this translates to mid-range devices offering more features and utilities than low-end ones, and fewer features and utilities than high-end ones.
High-end devices always offer the best possible user experience for customers of the technology brand in question. They are expensive devices because they offer all the functions and utilities that are not available in the lower or mid ranges. A high-end, whatever technological item, has a better finish, better performance, better presence, greater durability and, in short, higher quality in all possible aspects.
So quality costs and whoever is willing to pay for it can get it.
This applies to everything in life
I started by talking about the ranges and the quality-price ratio between each range in the technological field, since it is in this field that most people understand the issue of ranges best.
And in that aspect, in the technological aspect, we can talk about any device or technological artifact that we can imagine; from smart cell phones, to televisions, computers, watches, cars; but we can also talk about issues that are not technological, such as clothing, footwear, etc.
In life, any material thing that we want to obtain has its range, and the range is the price it will cost us based on the qualities offered by what we want.
For example, if we want to acquire a large and luxurious house, we can never do so by paying what a small and cheap house costs. We should simply pay what the big house is worth, or we should settle for a lower priced house.
The key to spending more efficiently
Many people think that saving a few dollars when buying a device is the best thing to do. And then they stop buying a device of superior characteristics, by mere stinginess.
Well, everyone is free to do what they want with their money, because as I always say, that is what their money is for, but what we must do when we are going to acquire anything in life (be it something technological or of any other type) , is learning how to optimize our level of spending when buying what we want to buy.
In this sense, what we must do is adjust our expectations to our pockets and needs, knowing that the quality, functions and performance of whatever we acquire will depend directly on the amount of money, intelligence, time and/or effort we have to invest on it.
Yes, because although when we talk about material things we can talk about the amount of money we spend, there are many things that do not require investment or spending money (or require it, but it is not the only thing that is required), but rather require time, effort, intelligence and dedication. Well depending on the amount of time, effort, intelligence and dedication that we put into achieving that something, it will be how we will actually achieve it.

Let's take a simple and complex example at the same time, if I want to be a millionaire, I must invest all the time, money, effort, intelligence and dedication that I can towards that goal. And the more time, effort, money, intelligence and dedication I put in, based on the specific goals I want to achieve, the more likely it is that I will achieve my goals in that regard.
Obviously, an essential thing to know the amount of time, effort, dedication and money I must invest in this regard, is to establish exactly the amount of money I must have to consider myself a millionaire.
What do I need and what do I want to have to feel like a millionaire? Based on my expectations, needs and desires, I will be able to define what I will have to pay or do to reach my goal respectively.
To put it in perspective, if I want to be a university professional (a doctor, for example), I will need to pay everything that is required to be a doctor; but not only that, but also the necessary to be the type of doctor that I want to be. Because there are many professionals in the World, but not all professionals are good nor do they all have the same quality, everything will depend on the effort, time, money and dedication that I as a person must put in to become a professional; and the type of professional I want to be.
So let us always remember, in any field that we can imagine; how much we pay how much we get. That is to say, depending on what we are willing to pay for something, proportionally will be the quality of what we will obtain.
