Wow I am sorry to hear about your job loss, Mike! You are so right - life is unpredictable in both good & bad ways. I haven't been back to work yet even though the hotel is managing to stay open at the moment. There are rumors a few of the casinos may close back up again, but haven't heard anything yet.

You are so right about being unprepared. Even though we tend to know that these things can happen, we are never 100% prepared for it. I feel fortunate, though. Like you, I am somewhat prepared if I don't go back. I made sure to have a small emergency fund & still squirreling away money as much as I can just in case.
