TGiF 🍷🍻 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. The weekend is upon us, I have had a great day. I am also truly grateful for this day, it's a blessing to be alive in this day and age💯. Time to wrap things up and quickly take a look at how my day has been plus share some trending stories. Let's get it 💨.
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto youtube. My next walking came later in the afternoon getting some cooking groceries from the shopping centre. Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. I got the cooking going, watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans 😹. In the DRC, some fighting reported between the army and M23 rebels. Thousands of people displaced as they fled their homes.
Globally, the earthquake in Turkey and Syria still trending. After more than 100 hours some lucky survivors have been pulled out from the rubble 🎊🎉, including children and adults.
However, the death toll has risen to 23k🙀, my sincere condolences to the bereaved families 😭. The search is still on and the aid is still flowing in.
Over in Ukraine, Russian sent a total of 70 missiles 🙀 overnight. Most aimed at the energy grid. Ukraine managed to repel 60 of the missiles and is still asking for support and more weapons.
One of the Russian missiles passed over Moldova before hitting it's target in Ukraine🙀. Speaking of Moldova, the pm resigned following economic turmoil and the pressure from the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Across the pond in the US, the military has shot down a high altitude object flying over Alaska airspace 😹. Let's hope it's not from china again.
Finally, we are still watching bitcoin and the crypto market which fell after the SEC in the US banned staking and fined Kraken exchange🙀, US citizens will not be accepted for any staking; lets see how that goes.
