Mattupetty Lake, Munnar.

I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. Today's post is based on a beautiful lake. So if I talk about it, then two consecutive posts in my worldmappin community have become lake-based. The lake that I have introduced to you in today's post is Mattupetty Lake. Mattupetty Lake is located in the state of Kerala in South India and is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations. This lake is located near the famous hill station of Munnar in India. Which is famous for its cool climate, tea gardens and picturesque views.

In the photograph taken above, the beautiful mountain view around the lake can be seen. From these photographs, it can be inferred that Mattupetty Lake is known for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. This lake has been created by the construction of Mattupetty Dam. Which is used for water storage and electricity generation. The clear and calm water of the lake reflects the surrounding mountains and sky. The reflection of the mountains inside the lake creates a very beautiful view. In the photograph above, the water is not calm due to the wind, so that reflection is not visible right now.

In the above photographs, a wonderful view of the lake and the high mountains standing in the background of the lake can be seen. Which shows that one of the main features of the lake is its peaceful atmosphere. The area around the lake is quiet and free from noise. This atmosphere makes it a perfect place for every tourist who comes here to relax and enjoy nature. Since this place is located between the heights and the mountains, the cool climate and fresh air add to its attraction and make the visitors feel refreshed.

In the second photograph above, tourists can be seen enjoying boating in the Mattupetty lake. Boating in the Mattupetty lake is a pleasant and refreshing experience. That pleasure can be seen in the second photograph. This lake is surrounded by lush green hills and tall trees. As I have talked about earlier, that greenery creates a calm and beautiful atmosphere. The clear blue sky above and the calm water below make this place very attractive and relaxing. In this photograph, a small motorboat is moving across the lake with a group of people sitting inside. They are wearing life jackets. It shows that safety is taken seriously during boating. The boat leaves a trail of white water behind it as it passes. Which adds a sense of movement and excitement to the calm atmosphere.

If you look at the photographs taken above, you will see that one of the important features of this lake is the greenery and mountains surrounding the lake. The hills surrounding the lake are covered with forests and tea gardens. These green slopes look very attractive and provide a peaceful view to the eyes. During the early morning, fog covers the hills here. This fog makes this place look magical. The mountain range surrounding Mattupetty Lake is one of the most beautiful natural views of Munnar. These mountains are part of the famous Western Ghats. These mountains are known for their rich greenery, cool climate and great natural beauty. As I mentioned earlier, the hills surrounding the lake create a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the country.

As seen in the photograph above, the mountains here are covered with lush green forests. These trees, neatly arranged on the slopes, look like a green carpet spread over the hills. As can be seen in these photographs, the group of these trees adds a unique beauty. When seen from a distance, these hills look soft and smooth. The different shades of green color of these hills blend with each other in the color of the lake. The mountains are not very high as seen in the photographs here. But they are slowly going up and down, which creates a rolling landscape. In the early morning, these mountains are often covered with fog and clouds. This fog slowly clears away as the sun rises, creating a magical and dreamy scene that photographers and nature lovers love.

Boating in this lake allows visitors to see the beauty of nature from a different perspective. As the boat moves forward, the reflection of mountains and trees on the water can be seen in the calm expanse where the water is still. Tall trees stand close to each other on the sides of the lake, creating a dense forest that looks rich and alive. In the background, mountains rise gently. These mountains are covered with greenery. This natural beauty makes the entire scene look peaceful and pleasant.

The dense forest on the mountains is rich in wildlife and plant life. Many types of trees, plants and flowers grow naturally in this region. This forest is home to animals like elephants, deer and various species of birds. The chirping of birds and the sight of animals passing through the trees make the mountains feel alive and lively. Even during summer, the temperature of this area remains pleasant due to the altitude and dense greenery. The fresh air and gentle breeze coming from the hills provide a relaxing experience for the visitors.

As can be seen in the photographs presented here, the region around the lake is rich in flora and fauna. As I mentioned above, visitors coming here can also see wild animals like elephants and various types of birds near the water. Due to which this place is interesting for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts. The greenery and clean environment add to its attraction. Many tourists visit this place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family and friends.

Mattupetty Lake is very easy to reach as it is well connected by road. The nearest airport to reach this lake is Cochin International Airport. This airport is about 100-110 kilometers away. Munnar is well connected by road to major cities of Kerala like Kochi. This road journey is very scenic as the view of hills and tea gardens is visible on the way.

I believe that Mattupetty Lake is the perfect blend of natural beauty, serene atmosphere and enjoyable activities. Its location near Munnar makes it easy to visit. The natural scenery around this lake leaves a lasting impression on everyone who comes here. This is truly a place to visit for anyone who loves nature and peace.

The mountain range surrounding Mattupetty Lake is a perfect example of natural beauty. Lush green hills, tea gardens, misty mornings and rich wildlife make this region truly special. It offers a calm and refreshing escape from the busy life and gives visitors the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature in its purest form.
