We make purchases of items every day of our lives. We move around to see something that entices us, and then we make payment for it, at the end of the purchase, it's either the item is good or bad. There are lots of original items and there are fake ones. There are quality ones and non-quality ones. Most humans go for quality stuff while some unconsciously jump on the non-quality especially when they notice the price is lower and cheap, it is when they use it for a while, that they become sad about not using it to their satisfaction.
This is why we need to take our time to observe whatever we are purchasing and not be in a hurry. One dangerous place to purchase items is on the road from these roadside hawkers, most of their items aren't good and because they know one is moving in cars and buses and wouldn't take a lot of time to check through, they give them bad items.
The last time I travelled to the North for my camp training, the driver stopped by the road to get a car charger as he needed one for us to use and because he was in a hurry and did not want to waste our time as we had a long journey ahead, he couldn't test what he bought only to find out it was a fake one after driving for about thirty minutes, he was so sad and bought another one somewhere else and this time around, he tested it.
Without much time, let me take you through some stuff I purchased in the past which I am glad I did because I decided to go for the quality instead of looking at a cheaper rate. Here is a shoe I bought in year 2020 which is still serving me well now.
As you can see in the image, I wore it to work and I love how fitted it is on me. When I bought this shoe, it was around #1500. I didn't want to buy it then because of how cheap it was. The highest amount of baby shoes around then was #5000 and the price this lady who was also my colleague called for me shocked me and I assumed it was fake. After much plea and assurance from her, I bought two of the shoes. I dashed a girl last year in December when I was packing my stuff while I kept that one for myself. It has been a beautiful shoe which had lasted me over 3 years now.
Another thing I bought recently is this white sneaker. I was happy to purchase this when I was looking for items for my NYSC at the market last year in July. I bought it at #6000, though I was reluctant to get it because I thought it wouldn't last me but on another thought, I got it because I saw it as an opportunity for a lower price and its quality, also, the guy has never disappointed me with his stuff before. The sneaker is still looking good and durable, it's something I am happy to purchase even with a small amount.
Let's now move on to one particular item I purchased but regretted because I took my eyes off the quality but got it because of how cheap it was. You know what, buying things is on luck if I must say; sometimes, you can get high-quality stuff at a lesser price while getting non-quality stuff at a high price, so also, you get an item with high quality which is very expensive and cannot be affordable for some people while the non-quality ones are cheaper. At times, I get to find honest sellers who would tell me the original from the fake and would even tell me to go for one because it's of higher quality than the others. For example, the power bank I am using presently was recommended by the seller who told me that the other products in her store were not durable enough, I am glad I bought the one she recommended.
So, I bought these two skirts from this woman at #1000 each, only to wear them the next day and both got torn. One was even manageable but when I was walking, it would fly up by itself while I would bring it down by myself in public which was always embarrassing to me because I used to assume people's thoughts with the question, "was I blind when I got it." Lol 😆
In summary, purchasing items is always luck and it is important one take note with much patience before getting something. On the other hand, going for quality and durable items is better than non-quality ones as most of them aren't guaranteed to last long.
