Happy Sunday everyone and I hope you guys are having an awesome day. I am feeling good today, refreshed and recharged. But also having a little bit of hangover feeling I am having now because of the weekend. Honestly speaking I was not expecting that 2021 will be a good year for me I mean everything so far is going normal, nothing crazy. Moreover, I have got the opportunity to explore the beauty of Ukraine. I haven't explored so many locations in such a short time before even I haven't seen Kharkiv city thoroughly before. So, I just feel grateful and blessed that my life gave me an awesome chance to see the beauty of a foreign country.
Next month, September, cold weather will be started and I will start staying at home frequently. My summer job will be over soon and don't know what I am going to do this winter. But I am not taking stress about that, for now, I am just trying to live in the moment.
Yesterday we had a long day, we went on a nice trip that we were planning for 2 weeks. Actually, this location was special to us and for that, we had to book before to get a spot for ourselves.
Our destination was Staryi Saltiv (Старый Салтов), located 50 km away from the Oblast, people call it Kharkiv Region. A totally rural suburban area, full of agricultural fields. This location is famous for wheat fields, agriculture, and the Donets River. Many recreational activities and complexes have been constructed near Donet Riverbank. People come here every summer to do outdoor activities such a fishing, boating, picnic, BBQ party or swimming.
So we started our journey at 4 pm from the city center. The weather was nice windy and not too hot. During summer in the hot weather, it's hard to go on such trips. If the weather is good windy then the journey becomes a pleasure.
First, we bought some fruits like watermelons, grapes and also drinks. We wanted to spend a good time in the countryside so light foods were a must. We arranged two cars and 10 people were on the trip. Our destination was Xcountry Traveler Boating club where we were going to spend our whole afternoon and evening. The city looked empty, many people already left the city to the countryside for spending their weekends, some went to other cities. I tell you summer is the best time for trips...
Look at the beautiful blue sky and piles of hays. Aren't they beautiful!!! The harvest has already been done and farmers are preparing their field for the next summer. These files are owned by a large milk factory. They are doing an event now on this field with hay bales. Many people come here for photoshoots and taste their milk as well. This is their marketing system and every year they invite people to join their events, mostly locals.
They call it Agromol Fest. This event gonna stays only for one week. Square-shaped hay bales were stacked one after one and created a large pile of Haystacks. From far away I saw kids were playing around, trying to climb on the stacks, and playing with straws. Some were doing photoshoots as well. I have heard that every year their invite models to promote their campaigns and products.
Anyway, after a small break, we continued our journey...
Suddenly I noticed that farmers and village people are selling their products near the highway. Basically, it's not a highway, it looks more like a tertiary road to Saltob. The fruits and vegetables they sell are cheap and fresh as well. In the picture, you can see how they sell fruits and vegetables. This guy was selling tomatoes, cucumbers, and watermelons. I decided to buy one for myself. Per kg of the watermelon was only 10 UAH, so cheap. The big watermelon cost only 20 UAH where per kg in the city cost 20 UAH... Hahahaha...The guy was friendly and he helped me to choose a nice melon for ourselves.
When I was taking the picture, he gave me a nice smile and told us goodbye...

Vast fields and green trees were everywhere... The sun rays were mild and afternoon it created a golden moment with the combination of clear blue sky... It was beautiful scenery to watch...
The trip was not so tiring, the weather was with us so we enjoyed the whole road trip...
After two hours of the long drive, finally, we reached our destination where the boat was waiting for us...
