Gaming on the splinterland is not a traditional one and the team has been working hard to make it better. They are doing a lot of innovations to make the experience amazing for the community as well as they keep on adding multiple factors to bring better profitability. We have been hearing a lot that they are going to implement the change which will drive more adoption for SPS tokens in the game and finally, they have done it. now if you are a player then it is required for you to hold some SOS tokens in the game account else you will be stuck to the 1X multiplier. This multiplier cannot go beyond one that means even if you don't hold the SPS token then also you can earn some reward. I believe that with the single multiplier, the rewards are going to be basic and you cannot expect something great to get after the end of the season.
We need more SPS now
We certainly need more SPS tokens in the game and I'm glad that I have been trying to grab as much as I can since long. when I started my accumulation in the game for SPS that time I had no idea how this is going to be changed in the game later. I just had one thought in my mind that it is a governance coin so the team will do something that will bring more value to the token economy and now finally the recent change says the same. I mean to say that with the recent change, we note that the demand for SPS is going to increase significantly and that would be driving the price in the right direction.
This is the fact that we all need more sps now if we want better rewards in the game and the higher limit is quite high because it goes all the way to 1.2 million. This amount is really big and I am sure not practical for many of us. I don't think it is doable for me but what I know is that at least I can make it a decent amount of sps holding this year and I am going to continue the same in the coming years as well because it is going to be a continuous process for me. Over time when my holding will improve then the rewards are also going to be better so I know that it is going to be a fun process.
SPS Rental Market
I have checked the rental market today and this is quite impressive because we have got an additional option to generate some rewards this way if we are not playing. We are anyways getting an APR that is approximately 17% at the moment and on top of that if we delegate the power then the apr can be about six to eight percent approximately which is not bad at all. If we combine it all together then it is going to be a decent percentage for holding the sps in-game account. if you do not go for the delegation then with the gameplay you are going to get better rewards based on your holding. So in both cases, the rewards are going to be better as compared to what we had in the past and this is why I believe that this change is good in the game.
This S P S rental market is also helpful for the newbies in the game because many of them would not have enough amount of tokens so they have the option to lease from the market. when demand will increase for the delegation then probably we can see the income increase also. We already had one reward which is part of the season end and in terms of rental, the car rental market is already there. this has got the secondary market where we can get some additional rewards or if needed we can also go for the increase in the SPS power to grab better gaming rewards. I'm happy to see this implementation and it's great that the team has been focused on what they wanted to bring I'm sure the community must be happy to see such changes coming in the game.
I'm waiting for the season-end reward for this season and then will determine that how the change has been in my case and I'm sure many other players would be sharing the same thought. This is a new change in the game and we are not familiar with it so it will take some time to learn and understand. We will be familiar with it for sure after some time but in the meantime, there is a lot of excitement to know what reward we are going to get in the current season which will be ending in a couple of days.
