Brain damage! Missing and presumed unfunctional. (Do you really wanna hurt me?) When tired and fried and battered by the experiences of life, I say this: MAKE ART.
It is good.

"DAY 28
Mariah and I were planning to go out tonight, but instead we had a few drinks and stayed in to watch ghost shows. (I hope I haven't disappointed my last two friends by bumming out on them AGAIN, but I'm OLD...)
Had more sleep troubles last night, but I blame society. (Society kept me up until 4:30 A.M.) I got a lot of reading done, though, so there's always a positive spin...
Do you ever get "Pac-Man Fever" by Buckner & Garcia stuck in your head? I've been singing that track to myself all day! Meanwhile, I did spend about 20 minutes in an arcade in a sparsely populated shopping mall in Kelso, Washington, U.S.A., today, (while Mariah was at the Bath & Body Works.) I played a single game of Donkey Kong and got the high score (wasn't very big), although I died on the Pie Factory stage. (Embarrassing...) I would classify myself as a "RETRO" gamer, although (technically) those games were NEW when I started playing them! (HA!)
I'm hoping that I'll get more ARTWORK WORKED tomorrow than I did today. (How many times have I written that, now???) Hopefully, I'll get more sleep tonight! We'll see how this all plays out! LATER folks!!!

"DAY 29
Hey folks... I'm reclining on my bed watching ghost shows with Mariah and chillin' (after a delicious "cheap shake." That's when you put a little ice cream in a cup with a little milk and just stir it up with a spoon or knife and drink it. Yum...)
Sunday night. LUCKILY, Mariah doesn't have to work tomorrow! (I'm old and retired - except for babysitting the grandkid!) (Oh! And ART, of course, but I do that out of joy and my eternal urge to make shit...) Mariah DID say that she was going to make muffins in the morning, so I have a reason to survive the night! (I was probably going to anyway, but now I'm MOTIVATED!)
So.... I'm almost a month into this "FORCED WRITING PROJECT," and so far, I'm actually enjoying it. It's a bit like a journal (Remember "LiveJournal?") and a bit like a blog (Remember "Blogger?") but JUST WORDS... The funny thing is that you can do a LOT with words, if you're willing to experiment. (I'm willing to do it... Honestly, I ENJOY playing with words...)
What else should I say tonight? I don't know. Just dinking around on here is nice. I don't have a story or a plan in mind when I start - I just FREE-WRITE and wing it! Type type type... Good fun! (I must be feeling pretty good, right now, but then I rememberd... I just had a cheap-shake. How can the world be anything but happy after a shake?)
LATER!

"DAY 30
I've been watching YoooTooob videos on A.I. over the last few days. I haven't actually EXPERIMENTED with any A.I. programs, yet (aside from any I might follow on social media without realizing they are programs instead of people.) However, I am curious. The new chat program, ChatGPT, seems interesting. I'm wondering about doing a series of interviews with the program as a creative performance. (This may have already been done by other people, but I doubt if anyone else would ask the same questions as I would or phrase them in the same way that I would...) It might even be fun to have a robot-buddy who could collaborate with me on written and other artistic works. (My art style is VERY basic, "dirty," and limited, so I don't think a computer program could be quite as BAD as I like my art to be... Might be fun to experiment, though. What would happen, for instance, if my "prompts" for these artistic programs were lengthy prose-poems or even fiction works??? How would weird repetitions and illogical metaphors be interpreted by a machine learning program? Could I train my OWN program and make it a freaky, psychedelic punk-poet bot???
I honestly don't know how any of this works... Can you have different A.I. "friends" that are trained (or asked to??) behave in different ways?
PROGRAM OR BE PROGRAMMED! (If you haven't read that book yet, it's by Douglas Rushkoff, you should...)
Hmmmmm.... I don't know. It's not like I don't have any other creative avenues to explore, but it might be fun... Right? (Plus, it would probably be smart to have at least a COUPLE bots as friends before the humans are all put to sleep... Right??? Am I write?)
Just a wild idea. I'll keep thinking about it. (Meanwhile, if you have KNOWLEDGE of this arena, feel free to send me a note. I'd love to hear some opinions on it...)

"Ghoulio" by Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)
[Crayon and sloppy glue on reclaimed cardboard food container with digital embellishments and color tweaking.] I really enjoy this one. The eyes are mostly just blobs of glue left over from the cardboard when it was still a food package. The unreliable color distribution from the cheap crayons that I used also contributes to the messiness of the piece, which I find appealing. Plus, the monster is funny looking! The moral to this story: Art should be fun, and I offer this piece as evidence of the truth of that statement... ---Richard F. Yates (Holy Fool)

"DAY 31
There will be errors in this post, and that's just fuckin' fine with me... I've consumed a large quantity of alcohol (via a Kraken and Coke), so this might be a more EXPRESSIVE post than normal, but it won't be quite as FINELY HONED as normal! Wooooo!
Watching ghost shows, cuz that's how the wife and I unwind in the evenings. Tomorrow's just another day... (That's from a song by the British ska band, MADNESS. They are BRILLIANT, and I recommend that all humans with ear (and any A.I. who are curious about music) listen to their music. Has anyone asked any A.I. how they "feel" about music? I mean, shit... That's important to know. If the A.I. feels NOTHING, aside from technical analytics, then we'll have learned something. If they ENJOY music (or DON'T enjoy it), that's something different - entirely!
My granddaughter and I had a pretty good day today. We made a couple of books, (little zine-style pieces), and she completed a FANTASTIC mixed media collage made out of reclaimed cardboard, stickers, glue, glitter, felt pen, and other weird elements. It's an unbelievable 3D piece. I got some good photos, but my wife and I are also thinking that we need to get a shadowbox for it...
Meanwhile, I'm feeling pretty okay right now. I'm nervous and uncomfortable, but that's the way I've been since I was a little kid. Need to get the anxiety OUT, and I usually do that thru my creative work, but on a busy day like this (I babysat from about 7:45 A.M. until just before 5:P.M., ate dinner with my wife, and now I'm chilling - but I SERIOUSLY had to force myself to plug the dang laptop in to write this post. If I wasn't engaged in a "forced writing project," which REQUIRES me to make a new entry on typed.art EVERY DAY, then I probably wouldn't have done anything... Brain is fried. YAH!!!
FEAR IS THE MINDKILLER!!!!
Honestly, though, things are pretty good right now. I'm broke, and the crypto-market is depressed, and my older daughter has a pretty major surgery coming up in a week, but... RIGHT NOW, we're all okay. Just chillin'....
You know, completely out of nowhere, I really want to get a View Master for my granddaughter. I LOVE those little toys when I was young. The problem is, those things go for a TON of money on Amazon and eBay these days... The price for what I used to get for two buck is now FORTY DOLLARS, (U.S.D.). My granddaughter is THREE, so she'd chew threw one of those little reels with the pictures around the edges in a matter of minutes, and by gosh I ain't paying forty bucks just to have to throw away the reels in a week! (Maybe when she gets older.) Meanwhile, (again), I'll keep an eye out for second-hand bargains. I used to have HUNDREDS of reels (going all the way back to the early '70s, when I a toddler. I had a View Master and "The Little Yellow Dinosaur" reels when I was three! (That was 1975!!!)
Anyway, that's enough bugging all you folks for tonight. Thanks for stopping by!

That's it! Been making lots of stuff with the little kid lately, but I haven't had the GUMPTION to share most of it yet! Maybe someday I'll get around to posting 8 or 10 (or 13?) images to Objkt (or some other platform) in a single day! Maybe???
Later folks!
