I would like to acknowledge the great idea behind this community. It is a community that is well deserving and highly needed, thumbs up to the great team behind this lovely community.
For the little period, I have spent here in the hive community, some communities to which I have partaken abstain from commenting on posts, a comment from the community moderator gives you a sense of belonging to the community, although this could be difficult and very tasking to achieve.

I have also imagined a situation where a community takes it upon themselves to check and support new members. I have come in contact with communities on Hive where the moderators devote time often to read and comment on every weekly prompt post advising on what to do and what not to do time after time for community members to get things right. They give a great deal of attention to the newbies, who are navigating the hive blockchain for the first time. While some of us were lucky to have had a guide to put us through what to do, some don’t have that luxury and need guidance. In some cases where a writer was introduced to the platform by a singer, one will agree with me about the challenges the writer will face head-on.

Another thing I would like to bring to light is a form of reward system for newbies which will also serve as an encouragement, it's difficult sometimes to post on your blog, put conscious effort and time into writing and publish consistently without receiving any reward for it.
Below are some points to consider if not yet in practice;
- The community could create a weekly “newbie spotlight” event where newbies who are outstanding for the week are featured in the form of “best-performing newbie of the week”.
- The community can also introduce a welcome delegation package for newbies, pooling together funds to provide temporal delegation of hive power for newbies. This will help boost the RC and the voting power of newbies which will in turn serve as engagement to newbies.
- The community can also encourage a support system by the members of the community, where old users are encouraged to help new members in the community navigate the platform and to solve and assist in any capacity the newbies need.
- The community could also create content in the form of a video and or article containing how to navigate the space, which could include getting started, a FAQ on the hive, and links to useful materials and tools, making it available to the newbies to help them have a better understanding on the various terms used in the hive community.
Most of my suggestions are centered on how the community can encourage members to take initiative, which will lessen the load on the moderators.
As much as I have said all these, I acknowledge the efforts of all the admins and moderators of this lovely community, it is a fine work you guys are doing. Thank you for the opportunity you have presented to us, Keep up the good work.
Thank you for reading my post.
