A very positive Tournament for me, my highest performance rating in our Saturday
Hive Chess Tournament. Also With a Little Improved Play & Luck, I return back to the 1500+ hundreds Blitz rating again, A small goal after my very lows of last Season ending.
The only strategy I had for this tournament was to resign “No Win Situation” Quickly and save time for a possible win. The “Quick Resign” strategy did payoff in a memorable & slightly comical way: Of course I will share with you below :):
falling behind on points against a very strong player, I tried to make a strong move. I capture a Pawn but immediately realize my queen was now under attack. I quickly recognize this as a "No Win Situation" and attempted to resign immediately...
However twice I attempted to click the resign button and missed both times and to my surprise my opponent didn’t capture my Queen. So I captured my opponent Queen and got a Checkmate...
