My Wednesday went great today! I took a walk in the small but very interesting town of Monselice. This city is not far from Padua. An interesting city with its architectural masterpieces. The city spread between two mountains. The mountains seem to protect the peace of the townspeople. And it is really quiet and peaceful in the city.

Моя середа сьогодні пройшла чудово! Я здійснила прогулянку в невелике але дуже цікаве місто Монселіче. Це місто знаходиться недалеко від Падуї. Цікаве місто своїми архітектурними шедеврами. Місто розкинулось між двома горами. Гори ніби охороняють спокій містян. І справді в місті тихо і спокійно.
My goal was to see Chini Castle. The castle consists of several buildings that create a complete ensemble. Castle buildings were built over a long period, from the 11th to the 16th century. All these buildings are united by inner courtyards and an outer garden.
Моєю ціллю було оглянути замок Чіні. Замок складається з кілька будівель, які створюють цілісний ансамбль. Замкові будівлі будувалися довгий період, від 11 до 16 століття. Вcі ці будівлі об'єднані внутрішніми дворами і зовнішнім садом.
The castle was originally a medieval fortress and had a defensive function. In the 13th century, the fortress was restored
Ezcelino III da Romano. He further expanded the Carrareri castle. When in the 15th century the rich and noble Venetian Marcello family became the owners of the castle, the castle was transformed into their residence.
Nowadays, in 1935, the castle became the property of the rich and famous Vincenzo Cini. This owner, whose name bears the castle, loved antiques. He decorated the rooms of the castle with furniture, paintings, and vases. Separate rooms were arranged for a collection of medieval weapons. There is also a huge library.
Замок спочатку був середньовічною фортецею і мав оборонну функцію. У 13 столітті фортецю відновив Еццеліно ІІІ да Романо. Дальше розширював замок Каррарері. Коли у 15 столітті власниками замку стала багата і знатна вннеціанська родина Марчелло, замок був перетворений на їхню резиденцію.
В наш час у 1935 році замок перейшов у власність до багатого та відомого Вінченцо Чіні. Цей власник, ім'я якого носить замок, кохався в антикваріату. Він обставин кімнати замку меблями, картинами, вазами. Окремі кімнати були облаштовані для колекції середньовічної зброї.
Each castle has its own church. Chini Castle is no exception. A small cozy church in which noble families prayed for many years. Wonderful icons and bas-reliefs on biblical themes decorate the walls.
Кожен замок має свою церкву. Замок Чіні не є виключенням. Маленька затишна церква, в якій молилися знатні родини довгі роки. Чудові ікони та барельєфи на біблійні теми прикрашають стіни.
The cozy garden preserves an old cherry tree, to which more than one generation of castle owners ran to admire the white blossoms and then the ripe berries.
Затишний сад зберігає стару черешню, до якої бігали милуватися білим цвітом та потім доспілими ягодами не одне покоління власників замку.
In another garden, an old well is surrounded by old frames. It is calm and cool here.
В іншому саду стара криниця оточена старими кадрами. Тут спокійна прохолода.
The castle is very well preserved. All presented exhibits are authentic. I was especially impressed by the chests with secret locks. This is a whole machine created in the Middle Ages. Such a chest - a safe of that time.
Замок дуже добре збережений. Всі представлені експонати автентичні. Особливо мене вразили скрині з потайними замками. Це ціла машина, створена в середні віки. Такий собі скриня- сейф того часу.
I looked around the castle with pleasure. The spirit and color helps to transfer to the era of knights and their ladies. Imagine how nobles lived in those days. And I sincerely advise everyone who happens to be near Monselice to visit Chini Castle.
Я з задоволенням оглянула замок. Дух і колорит допомагає перенестися в епоху рицарів і їхніх дам. Уявити як жили в ті часи вельможі. І щиро раджу всім, хто побуває поблизу Монселіче завітати до замку Чіні.
