It's good to see you back, splinterlands and hivers. This is my response to the weekly spilnterlands battle challenge. You can also follow the challenge by clicking on this link
I will discuss the battle of a dragon summoner, the abilities of which many new splinterlands players are unaware. KRETCH TALLEVOR, the dragon summoner.
KRETCH TALLEVOR is a one-of-a-kind card in a set of untamed cards. This is a reward card obtained from a gift chest when the untamed series was released. According to the card stats, this summoner will not bestow abilities on the summoned monsters. The statistics below demonstrate this.
But don't underestimate KRETCH TALLEVOR. His strength comes from his ability to summon various elemental monsters in battle because he is a dragon summoner. As a result, by increasing the level of one summoner, you can use high-level every element monsters in your collection.
Aside from that, summoning this summoner into battle with very little mana is advantageous. It only takes 3 mana points. As a result, it is extremely useful in low mana fights, as the minimum mana in splinterlands fights is 12 points.
Furthermore, because this is a epic summoner, upgrading KRETCH TALLEVOR to a high level requires fewer cards than a common summoner card. Simply combining 10 KRETCH TALLEVOR cards is equivalent to combining 25 cards for a common summoner.
Let's see how KRETCH TALLEVOR does in the next low-mana battle. The following are the additional rules:
The rulesets for this fight were Going To Distance, What Doesn't Kill You, and Healed Out. The Going to distance rule allows only monsters with arrow attacks to participate in the battle. The next challenge is the limited amount of mana, namely 15 mana points, which forces players to select the appropriate monster. If you can enter as many monsters as possible, your chances of winning will be increased.
| The Lava launcher is a type of fire element monster with close-range abilities, such as archers who can attack even when they are in the front position. The Lava launcher has a large shield point, summon with 9 mana points. | |
| Venari Marksrat is a neutral elemental monster with a martyr ability that activates if this monster is knocked off the battlefield with 3 mana points. |
The amount of mana points used is sufficient with the number of mana points from KRETCH TALLEVOR at the start, which only required 3 mana points.
So, what strategy am I going to employ to win this battle?
This is a fast-paced battle in which each player usually only presents one monster. Because the mana supply is limited & there aren't many archer monsters with close-range abilities. As a result of saving mana consumption, I can send two monsters.
If it's a one-on-one fight, I might lose because the summoner KRECTH TALLEVOR has no additional abilities, but by using the Venari marksrat, I can increase the ability of the Lava launcher attack. Specifically, by offering the Venari marksrat as a sacrifice. When the martyr's ability is activated, the attack power of the lava launcher increases.
This is advantageous because the lava launcher has a large number of shield points. So that the lava launcher, with increased attack power, can finish off the queen of crows, who has a lot of health points.
And the end result was a victory on my side, thanks to saving one mana point in the battle.
DID MY STRATEGY WORK?
We must select the right personnel for this battle because of the low mana. We are forced to select monsters with close-range abilities by additional rules that only permit archers. However, monsters that fit this description typically have a lot of mana. So choosing the right monster would be made easier if the summoner consumed less mana.
The summoner KRETCH, which has benefits and drawbacks since his summoned monsters don't have any additional abilities, can be used to save mana. But these flaws can be fixed if you have the freedom to select all of the available elements. I was able to take advantage of the current battle circumstances from the battle above by utilizing the martyr's skill. By making a first sacrifice in order to increase the lava launcher's stats.
However, the one-on-one approach might not be very effective if I were to use a summoner with a mana point value of 4 points.
DO YOU LIKE USING KRETCH'S?
In particular, I enjoy using KRETCH TALLEVOR in battles where there isn't much mana available. I can freely choose the monster element I'll use thanks to this summoner, which is also a part of the dragon element summoner.
This summoner also benefits from leveling up because it only requires a few cards to combine because it enters as a summoner with an epic rarity. The level of summoned monsters will rise along with the level of the KREYCH TALLEVOR summoner card. The choice of using a dragon summoner is ideal if you only want to use one summoner but have access to all of the available monsters.
