Blink-182 - One More Time | Rising Star Giveaway

Blink-182 released their new song "One More Time" this week, which is about their reunion as a band and as friends. Additionally, this song has the same name as their album, which will be released on October 20. Additionally, the album "One More Time" will be the first album by the three original members (Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker) since 2011.

Blink-182 is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Poway, California. Their best-known lineup consists of bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, and drummer Travis Barker. Source

The band reunited in October 2022 with the single "Edging" and announced that they would embark on a world tour that will see them play together until spring 2024. And on October 20, their first album in 12 years, "One More Time", will be released.

"One More Time" is an emotional song about their reunion as a group and as friends.

“I wish they told us it shouldn’t take a sickness / Or airplanes falling out the sky,” Mark Hoppus sings, referring to when he was diagnosed with lymphoma in April 2021 and Travis Barker survived a plane crash in 2008. Then, “Do you have to die to hear you say goodbye / Do I have to die to hear you say goodbye? / I don't want to act like there's tomorrow / I don't want to do this one more time,” Tom DeLonge powerfully croons the chorus.

I'm not a big Blink-182 fan, but this song and its message are truly amazing. The fact that a band with so many fans will come back after 12 years with an album containing such a great song will be appreciated by their fans. Even though I don't listen to Blink-182's songs very much, I added this song to my list of songs I listen to every day. I like songs with a story because they are sung more sincerely and touch the heart more.

Music is truly an amazing thing because Music has the power to express things that even words cannot express.
