I came to know of the project by and
when the other members of BD talked about it and I also got a notification on Ginabot.
Anyways, I thought I will give it a try and hope it does justice to their project.
So, here goes. Excuse me if it sounds too amateurish.
What is the best time for writing?
I am a homemaker and also a splinterlands player. So, I do check the mobile in between my chores because unfortunately, I am addicted to the mobile and the discord app. So, coming to the point, I find mid-morning or late afternoon the best time to sit down and start to think about what to write. It is not easy to just open a page and start writing. As I age, I find it easier to see through 'fake stuff' and want to react and respond and if the urge is too strong, I start and do not stop till I vent it all out.
What is your favorite thing to write about?
I started writing poems and later diversified to writing stories, sometimes rants about social situations, human behavior, and the like. As I mentioned before, sometimes I get too riled up and write down what I feel. It helps me with the emotions and calms me like no other. Talking or chatting with others is just informal banter for me. I am not the type of person who likes to have long discussions on chat. I kind of shy away from it but writing helps a lot.
Is there any writing of yours that has managed to Land on your favorite list?
I remember a story I wrote that has curated on the blockchain a few years before. When I reread it, I was surprised that I had written it because it does seem good and perhaps I outdid myself that one time. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to find the link. It was a story about Ego.
Anyways, I also liked the poems I wrote for Dpend challenge on the blockchain. I should maybe store it for later reference.
What was the first thing you wrote just for yourself?
I remember writing a poem when I was 13 or 14 and send it to a Children's magazine. Unfortunately, I do not remember what I wrote but do remember being excited about the letter of appreciation I got through the post from the editor.
Who is your favorite Writer/Which is your favorite book?
source
I would pick the book - The Swiss Family Robinson, a novel by Wyss and Wyss. I have not read other books by the writers but this Iike the most. I remember reading the children's version while in school. It was part of my brother's English reading and I loved reading the story of the family that survived a shipwreck. Recently, I saw modern movie adaptions of the book on youtube but feel that it does not do much justice to the magic that is created by the words in the book.
There are other favorite authors too. I read the Harry Potter series before watching the movies and the books are better in my opinion. Bernard Shaw is also a favorite author of mine.
So, there you have it. I could go on but then you would be bored, of course.
