"Life is all about sharing. If we are good at something, pass it on. - Mary Berry
Hello and how are you, beautiful people? I hope everyone is safe and doing great. Today, my family will go to Liloan, Cebu to visit my brother and celebrate my nephew's birthday. Another exciting day for the kids for sure for they will be visiting again their cousin.
What did we prepare?
Living in the countryside is also an advantage. Why? Because when we visit our relatives, we can bring and give something to the whole family as a gift from the abundance of nature that we received.
Early in the morning, my parents were very happy picking up the dragon fruits from our garden. This will bring delight to my nephew who loves to eat dragon fruits. Not only does it give happiness but this can also give enough nutrients for the kids.
Another thing that my parents did was cut down banana trunks so that we could bring a bunch of banana fruits to them. Growing these plants is a great help to the family for we can also sell them to others at a lesser price. This time, we will bring and share what we have in the countryside. Bringing this will surely bring smiles to their faces.
Next, my parents were also picking ripe citrus fruits at the back. It is a good source of vitamin C for the family. My sister-in-law will be happy to have this for she will be making fruit juice from these fruits.
Another source of vitamin C that my parents peeled and shared with my brother and sister-in-law is the Pomelo Fruit. We had enough harvest from our backyard with this fruit so we got some and peeled it so that we could bring it to them.
Life in the countryside is fun and relaxing. Planting some in our backyard and after a couple of years without thinking of it, we will reap the fruit of our effort. We also had avocado fruits in our backyard which is so delicious to eat. After 5 years of planting these, we are now harvesting its fruit. So lucky to have bountiful fruits around the backyard which lessens the expenses of buying these at the market.
Another bountiful harvest we had in our backyard was the jackfruit. One is a large size while the other is a smaller one. We also brought the bigger one for my brother for they can barely eat these yummy fruit. This jackfruit has a high content of nutrients which is good for my nephew's health.
Lastly, we also had fresh buko juice planted just in front of our house. And we also bring some for them for its a good source for rehydration. This coconut meat can be also used in making salads.
Though we will be traveling for almost 3 hours, we are so delighted because we are bringing and sharing a bountiful harvest in our backyard for my brother and sister-in-law's family. Even though we were so exhausted, the happiness that would be brought to their face would surely wipe our weary hours of traveling.
That's all for today my hive friends. Sharing something is worth keeping.
Have a nice day everyone😊
