"Don't feed the Birds"
If there is something that is very clear all over the park is that you shouldn't be feeding the animals! But obviously that doesn't stop people of doing it.
And I am guessing that because this birds got so used to be fed all the kind of weird things they have been adapting to it but I can't believe that is very wealthy for them.
Still all the signs are not stopping people of feeding them.
Today I want to share with all of you a collection of many photos of different birds I have snapped the other day while I was on a walk around St. James Park.
I have posted and shared a previous post about this day where I have focused on showing you all the amazing views you can get in this place, so today I wanted to focus on the bird life that is available in this place and I think you will be impressed with some of the photos I was able to capture.
I am not going to get to deep into details about the birds species because I am not an expert about it, in all honesty I don't really know any thing about the different species so I don't want to be giving you any wrong information.
Instead I wanted to share with you this images because even if I don't know much about them and often People tend to not have a lot of love for birds, they are beautiful animals and some of the details and the way they move and live it is really splendorous.
As soon as I got in the park this was the first one I have seen and as you can see this one was a big bird, the majority of them as very used to people so they are not afraid and they are happy to interact with the crowds.
You might think this is the same one, but this one I have seen almost on the end of my walk. And although it was in the same area of the lake was in the opposite side and it was much smaller.
I also think that this one was way more shy because it was just minding his own business and not really interacting with anyone that was trying to get it's attention.
But I couldn't avoid to get a couple of shoot because I just felt it was so relax and really majestic.
There were beautiful swans all over the lake in many areas, but what I've noticed, specially with the swans is that they don't really like much to mix it up with the other species.
That was something I have noticed on my walk, is that many birds tend to not mix with other and just stay with their kind or interact with only another different kind.
It might have been just a coincidence, as I said I am not a bird expert but if that is the case I have found that very interesting.
Swans can get really big and they look like very powerful and strong animals at the same time as they look very romantic and peaceful. This was was dipping his head under water to try and get some food I and I stayed there for a while just appreciating the moment and watching it going on with his life.
I was ready to go home. On my way to the exit. When on the side of my eye and framed by this trees I have seen this scene. I could not avoid to rapidly take the camera out again to immortalize this moment.
For me this comes straight out of a fairy-tale movie.
At this point I think it is fair and that you can understand that from all the birds in the park the Swans maybe are my favourites. I actually could be just chilling and appreciating their going on with their lifes for a while, and I did that, but also I had to capture some more images that I thought it were beautiful since I don't capture this types of photos very often.
If you think it is all peace and love let me prove you wrong. This 3 ducks were not having a peaceful and loving moment, for some reason they were very mad and I was able to capture this action shoot of the fight happening.
I can tell you that in a fight there are a lot of noise and a lot of water flying around. It was an aggressive fight.
But some of them from afar were not bothered with the fight and just wanted to keep their swim and cleaning session. Because not everyone is about that drama.
Not this next 2, I have seen them here in lakes, I have no idea even what family the first one is, and I am guessing the second is from the ducks family.
Both of them are beautiful birds with luscious black feathers and I am absolutely in love by the second one yellow eyes. They are like to precious rocks, bright and shiny looking at you.
Had a lot of fun capturing this images from this beautiful animals, let me know what did you thought of them and if maybe you would like me to explore more around some other places with wild animals here in London to try and bring you more photos like this. It is up to you.
