Hello worldmappin. How are all of you? I hope everyone is doing well. Today i want to tell you about a place we found in Davao City. We did not plan to go there. We just drove past it and decided to look around. It was very beautiful!
It was a cloudy Sunday morning. My family and i got in the car and drove to the outside parts of Davao City. We wantd to find a quiet place to eat the lunch we brought with us. We drove for about one hour.
We were talking to each other and looking at the things we saw along the road. Then we saw a large wooden sign. It was hidden between two big green trees. The sign said NAZARETH ‘Balay-Dilihonan’.
We thought it looked interesting so we turned the car onto the dirt path that led to the place. When we drove further inside we could not hear the noise from the main road anymore. Instead we heard birds singing and water moving.
The first thing we saw was a wide and calm body of water. The water had a green color but it was clear enough to see fish swimming in it. Tall trees and thick plants were all around the water. It felt like we were in a quiet forest.
There were small huts around the water. The huts had roofs made of dry grass and wooden posts that stood in the water. Some huts had small platforms that stuck out over the water. People can sit there and look at the view.
We parked our car near a wooden fence. We walked along a small path that had many kinds of plants. There were banana trees leafy plants
and colorful flowers. The flowers were red and yellow. We found an empty hut and put our lunch there.
While we eat we watched the fish swim in the water. We also saw dragonflies flying over the water surface. The air was cool and clean. It smelled like wet soil and leaves. It was a good change from the busy city. A man who takes care of the place saw us and came to say hello.
He was very friendly. He told us that Balay-Dilihonan means house of relaxation. He said the place was for the owners first then they let other people come to visit. He showed us more of the place. We stayed there for almost three hours. Before we left we took many pictures. Sometimes the best places to visit are the ones you find by chance. It is a nice and quiet place where you can rest and enjoy nature.
