Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! 😊❤🙏
Yesterday was a very special day for our family. We celebrated my father’s 76th birthday, and at the same time, the 3rd wedding anniversary of my brother and his wife. Two important occasions in one day is truly a double celebration filled with love and gratitude. 😊❤
We didn’t have a grand celebration, just a simple gathering at home with the family. With the continuous increase in prices nowadays, especially due to the rising cost of crude oil, almost everything has become more expensive. Because of that, we only prepared a few dishes to share. But honestly, even if it was simple, the joy and togetherness made it more than enough.😊❤
Early in the morning, my parents went fishing so we could have something fresh to cook for the day. When they came home, they brought a good catch, and I felt excited knowing we would be serving freshly caught fish for our celebration.
I was in charge of cooking, so I prepared spaghetti, stir-fried noodles, adobong pusit, adobong baboy, puto, and vegetable lumpia. I was already busy in the kitchen when something unexpected happened that my younger brother arrived from Cebu! I was really surprised because I didn’t expect him to come home. His presence made the celebration even more special.😊❤
When he arrived, he brought pork meat and other ingredients to add to our food. It felt like everything came together perfectly. 😊❤
Meanwhile, my brother and his wife, who were celebrating their anniversary, brought a cake. I was so happy about it because it meant my father would have a birthday cake to blow his candles. That simple moment meant so much to all of us. 😊❤
One of the most touching parts of the day was when my nephew gave his DIY birthday card to my father. It was simple, but you could really feel the love and effort he put into it.😊❤
My brother from Cebu also gave a gift to our father, and you could clearly see how happy it made him. Moments like that are priceless.😊❤
Here are the fresh fish that my parents caught that morning. It's truly a blessing for our table.😊❤
And of course, here are the dishes we prepared and shared together. Simple foods, but made with love.❤
We also had tuba to drink, which made the bonding even more enjoyable and lively.😊❤
It was truly a simple double celebration, but full of laughter, surprises, and love. Moments like this remind me that happiness doesn’t come from how grand a celebration is, but from being with the people you love the most.❤
I am very thankful to God for another year of my father’s life, for my brother and his wife’s strong marriage, and for bringing our family together even in simple ways.😊❤🙏
Have a Blessed Sunday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
Be grateful in every little/simple things and you’ll find happiness you ever wanted! 😀😀😀
Everyday is worth to be grateful of!
Praying for the safety and wellness of all.
