Greetings my dear reader friends, today after some time of not publishing due to a very important loss in my life, I want to show you a different version of a deer skull.

Saludos mis queridos amigos lectores, hoy luego de algún tiempo de no publicar por tener una perdida muy importante en mi vida, quiero mostrarles una versión algo diferente de un cráneo de venado.

While I was away I just wanted to show a little bit how I feel sometimes...maybe not strong and even melted by the things that are happening around me...I know that deer are extremely strong animals and even their antlers are used to create the strongest and most durable knife handles, that's why I chose this shape and adding this melted effect I think gives an interesting contrast.

Mientras estuve alejada solo quería mostrar un poco como me siento algunas veces… quizás sin fuerza e incluso derretida ante las cosas que están sucediendo a mi alrededor…sé que los venados son animales sumamente fuertes e incluso sus cornamentas son utilizadas para crear los mangos de cuchillos más fuertes y duraderos, por eso elegí esta forma y agregar este efecto de derretido a mi parecer otorga un contraste interesante.

To make the illustration I first made a fairly common sketch of a deer skull and then incorporated the drops as I wanted them to come out. After having the idea already captured I passed the image along with a rather interesting color palette to Illustrator, to make the line art with the pen tool and then add color.

Para hacer la ilustración primero realice un boceto bastante común de un cráneo de venado y luego incorpore las gotas según como quería que fueran saliendo. Luego de tener la idea ya plasmada pase la imagen junto a una paleta de colores bastante interesante a Illustrator, para hacer la línea de arte con la herramienta pluma y luego agregar color.

The details such as shadows and highlights were added by adding more or less intensity to the color palette. Then I added a dark background to highlight the main figure and finally I added a brightness to make it stand out much more. I leave you some images with the process according to the layers with which I worked and also a video where you can appreciate the whole process... I don't put audio yet, but I'm thinking of including it to show a little how to work with this wonderful program.

Los detalles como sombras y luces los agregue incorporando más o menos intensidad al color de la paleta. Luego agregue el fondo bastante oscuro para destacar la figura principal y por ultimo le coloque un brillo para destacar mucho más. Les dejo algunas imágenes con el proceso según las capas con las que trabaje y además un video donde podrán apreciar todo el proceso… Aun no coloco audio, pero estoy pensando en incluirlo para mostrar un poco como trabajar con este maravilloso programa.
