What is your Steemit identity?
How do you think you are viewed by other members of Steemit, maybe you have never thought about it. Are you someone that posts about controversial topics just for views are do you post about about what you had for breakfast and not really care who many views you get. We sure do have huge range of members on steemit posting about everything, members doing their own thing, other working together in small groups are large community, some members are here just for investment and have huge accounts but never made a single post are comment. Steemit in the sense is a very unique place that brings a decentralized social media platform to the blockchain. As with every large community, we have goodies and baddies and each member fish are whale are judged based on their actions.
It is something i never really thought about until around a month back. Everyday for past few months, i log into discord and have a bunch of messages related to to either answer are fix problems. Now there are 4 of us that run this upvoting bot account for the #steemsilvergold community so i am sure they have the same messages. I also know im aware this is a role i have taken and understand there would be work involved. The work is ok, but i am starting to feel like i am associated to
more than
. For one, i spend alot more time tending to Precious than i do my personal account which is starting to show when i look at my stats and followers drop off rate. Maybe i have immersed myself to much into #ssg-community and only have myself to blame. It has been over a year from i joined up and wonder has it all been worth it? Forgetting about the current price of STEEM, i would have to say HELL YES, it has been worth it.
Let's have a look at i have get myself involved with as
- Took responsibility of the #steemsilvergold membership list in a weekly update post
- Set up and continue to maintain the community discord server
- Arranged the UK group buy for the 2017 Steem round
- Joined thealliance community
- Got voted in as mod for the steemsilvergold community
- Took responsibility of the #steemsilvergold enrollment
- Started a monthly community crypto buy in Jan 2018
- Arranged the Uk group buy for the 2018 Steem round
- Became 1 of the 5 to run
- Held many community Smartnode group buys
- Took part in countless raffles and community projects
And as 1/5th of
- Work with
,
,
and
to do what is best for Steemsilvergold
- Helped with the rest of steemsilvergold to grow a bot from 0 voting SP to over 100k voting SP in a matters of weeks.
- Produce around 25 posts per month
- Answer back to comments
- Track donations and delegations to the bot
- Answer questions and fix problems for members
- Ensure the bot is running smoothly and update on time
- and perhaps the most time consuming thing of all, helping to run and arrange huge contests
The lines are starting to get blurry and when i turn the computer on, im not sure which account to log into first.
What is you Steemit Identity?
I am not one to blow my own head up but if i know anything about my steemit identity, i know i am a trusted member of the community. I guess i hold $5k plus easy in crypto's for other members through 8 months of crypto buys, running 7 smartnodes and a CDM masternode. I have done hundreds of transactions with other members totaling into the tens of thousands and not one person has ever has a problem which is pretty remarkable considering all the easy to make mistakes that can happen with cryptos. So i know i am trusted which is always a good thing. As for the rest, im not so sure but it is an interesting thought.
