Here is a sunset I observed yesterday from finish to start.
This was the last photo I took. The cloud haze really damped the color to create a nice filter on the sunlight.
Here the sun is a bit higher and is peaking through two different cloud layers. The robins also decided to fly along in this shot looking for spots to perch for the night.
Here the bottom of the sun is emerging from the top layer of clouds creating a nice half circle.
I thought this was the last I would see of the sun that day as it submerged into the top layer of clouds.
Just a bit higher than before.
With more sunlight my camera introduced warm colors into the file. The little dragonfly on the lower left caused the picture to be slightly fuzzy.
I zoomed my camera out a bit and the colors got cooler again. My zoom lens created a sun spot reflection on one of the glass lenses inside.
I had to play with some branch silhouettes against the bright sunlight.
Fully zoomed in the camera makes everything red and high contrast.
Now I zoomed out a to get more of the scene and the warm colors stayed towards the center of the image. If I was good at oil painting I would use this to try and render some clouds by underpainting a blue color then doing edge highlights in orange and white.
That's all for now. Thanks for looking :-)
