El tema del concurso lo podemos enfocar de varias formas y yo elegí hacerlo desde el lente de un cielo gris sobre un ambiente de guerra bélica y otro cielo nublado pero surcado por las palomas que pudieran estar revoloteando celebrando la paz.

The theme of the contest can be approached in several ways and I chose to do it from the lens of a gray sky over an atmosphere of war and another cloudy sky but furrowed by pigeons that could be fluttering celebrating peace.
En primer lugar les presento esta fotografía que obtuve en la Plaza de las Luces en Medellín, Colombia y sentí como una señal de los deseos de paz para el mundo.
First of all I present this photograph that I took in the Plaza de las Luces in Medellin, Colombia and I felt it was a sign of the wishes of peace for the world.
Porque la guerra es destrucción y desolación.
Because war is destruction and desolation.
Pero una mirada al mismo cielo gris, nos recuerda vivir con esperanza.
But a glance at the same gray sky reminds us to live with hope.
Hay que retomar el rumbo de la paz.
We must return to the path of peace.
Las palomas parecen disfrutar de nuestra presencia. También la paz quiere que disfrutemos de ella. ¿Podemos convivir juntos con la paz?
Pigeons seem to enjoy our presence. Peace also wants us to enjoy it. Can we live together with peace?
Podemos pisar el suelo bajo el mismo cielo. Podemos habitar y disfrutar de la paz.
We can tread the ground under the same sky. We can dwell and enjoy peace.
Las palomas se niegan a dejarnos solos. No huyen, solo disfrutan y confían en la humanidad.
Pigeons refuse to leave us alone. They don't run away, they just enjoy and trust in humanity.
Termino con una fotografía que acompaño con el pensamiento que me inspiró: El suelo de guerra refleja la tragedia que ocurre en el cielo.
The war ground reflects the tragedy occurring in the sky.
