Here I am, about to start my journey into the vastness of the Hive Blockchain.
The journey that brought me here makes me to reflect.
Let me start of by introducing myself:
I’m Sosa, a 25-year-old girl who has spent most of her existence on earth in Ghana, although I was born in Gabon, a beautiful Africa country. Presently, I reside in Ghana (another peaceful nation) where I work in the banking sector after receiving my first degree from the university.
My personal life is characterized by silent moments of solitude.
Simple pleasures bring peace to me in such times. Listening to music becomes an escape from the noise in my world among others.
There are times when I prefer being all alone inside my head, but there are also a few other times that I appreciate talking to my friends through some apps like WhatsApp.
In spite of social media’s immense popularity, I have always preferred living a quiet life because that is who I am as a person at heart. Quiet introverted. I must say that I'm quite lucky to have some friends who complement my shyness, by taking me out of my comfort zone. After a week or two here, I would definitely recommend them based on what I will experience.
How I found Hive:
Well, I only rarely visit social media and it was actually TikTok where I accidentally bumped into the idea of blockchain technology.
Intrigued by its possible applications and the hope of decentralization, I went deeper in the subject. It happened that I stumbled upon a video on Hive Blockchain amidst a lot of information. That fascinated me and I wanted to know more about this.
Here is a link to the video:

Thus, my journey to Hive started—driven by a hunger for knowledge, connections, and engagement. I discovered different frontends like inleo(which I realized used to be called leofinance), ecency, PeakD, NeoxianCity and the list goes on and on.
Well, I made some threads on inleo and got some amazing people giving me a warm welcome that makes me feel like home, so I decided to make this post with their front end.
Also, I chose to post in the Gem community because I noticed from the rules that it is an open niche community that allows us to share our story.
What I have noticed:
As I sifted through various contents available on this platform, what caught me was its genuineness and openness.
People shared their life experiences as well as their successes and failures, thereby making up stories that related deeply to mine.
To the very core of myself, I am a storyteller – an individual who goes after weaving together my bits of an autobiography into a meaningful narrative.
On this platform, I find the possibility to express some slices of my life, learn from others and genuinely connect with them.
A little Background:
I grew up in a small family unit of 3, made up of only my parents and I, and learnt early in life about the importance of company.
Although I might lack siblings, close friends have always been there to fill the void in my life with love and Sisterhood.
Life’s ups and downs were filled with simple things that brought me joy like enjoying Ghanaian Jollof rice or spending nights watching WWE wrestling with dad as his passion for it ignited mine as well.
And therefore, here I am, standing at a door of a fresh start, ready to dive into the lively world of Hivers.
With some measure of excitement and gratitude, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for admitting me among you. Let us begin this voyage together finding out about each other, swapping stories and embracing the Hive Blockchain’s collaborative nature.
Thanks for having me.
